UCT is looking for a talented Senior Corporate Accountant to join us in Hayward, CA! We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, consolidations, and coordination with external auditors. Additionally, experience with process improvements, including the use or implementation of Blackline, is preferred. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements while contributing to the enhancement of our accounting processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review the completeness and accuracy of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks.

  • Perform validation over our monthly global consolidation in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Assist with performing accounting research and documenting complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Coordinate with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, including project management and responding to inquiries.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned, such as system implementations, acquisitions, or other ad hoc projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Uncompromising high ethical standards.

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

  • Experience with consolidations, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Blackline preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to effectively interact with and influence individuals in different disciplines and at different levels.

  • Proven organizational and project management skills.

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office products.

  • Able to multi-task and effectively prioritize with proven follow-through and adherence to changing objectives and deadlines.

  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed to support key regulatory reporting deadlines.

  • Ability to develop, implement and manage change effectively.

Educational/Certification Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting from an accredited university.

  • CPA preferred.

  • Relevant industry experience (semiconductor / equipment manufacturing) preferred.

  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in SOX, Audit, or risk/compliance, with Big 4 and/or large to medium-size international, publicly-traded company experience required.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $88,500 and $141,600/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including variable pay and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
