VIEW JOBS 12/2/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-02T00:00 We're looking for an engaging and strategic Senior Copywriter to own and evolve the voice of our brand. This role is part of the Paperless Post Brand & Marketing team and will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and product managers to bring our brand and digital invitations to life. You will create a cohesive brand voice and narrative across multiple platforms, products, and touchpoints by developing marketing and UX copy, long-form writing, and social media captions. As we launch new features and functionality, we’ll look to you to find the right words to introduce them. Your writing will define product value propositions, shape user interfaces, make our product more discoverable, and inspire our users to host more expressively. The ideal candidate ca n spot a misplaced comma from a mile away and notices bad grammar in a subway ad, even when half-asleep. You understand that real estate is precious and each character counts. All 60 of them, sometimes. You can see the big picture and fill in missing parts to make the user experience seamless and easy. A little about us The Paperless Post Brand team is a dynamic group of creatives and marketers who shape how Paperless Post communicates with millions of users across all mediums. As the team that’s central to the company’s visual and textual voice, we’re in the unique position of getting to work with every team in the company—from marketers to technologists, product designers to senior leadership. We pride ourselves on our expertise in and enthusiasm for compelling brand storytelling. What you’ll do here Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across the organization to optimize language and copy for all of our company’s channels. Evolve and adapt the brand voice to reflect an evolving product offering. You’ll bring a strong point of view on how copy nuances inspire, inform, and engage users. Write copy for marketing materials including product-focused and editorial emails, targeted emails, blog posts, and social media. Enhance the user experience and define product value propositions with onsite copy, landing pages, and UX copy. Delight our users every day: with the perfect email subject line, a too-true Instagram caption, or a full-length article on our blog. Partner with art directors and UX designers to create compelling copy and design that are more than the sum of their parts. About you 3+ years experience writing engaging, consumer-facing copy for e-commerce, UX, and social media. Experience writing short, punchy communications with a wide range of references, especially headlines, captions, or other kinds of fun display copy. Ability to write for Instagram and user interaction, and an understanding of how they differ. Scrupulous proofreading and copyediting skills. Fantastic grammar and a love of words. Fastidious attention to detail and the ability to adhere to deadlines. Familiarity with SEO best practices. Pitch and write lifestyle content, and the consistent ability to come up with angles that will resonate with and feel actionable to our customers. Comfort both defending your ideas to stakeholders and adapting to feedback/changes in strategy * and experienced enough to know which is called for. You have broad and inclusive cultural references at the ready and an easy sense of humor. A knowledge of (or interest in) entertaining and the ways that people gather. Experience working in online project management tools. You'll have help, but being organized is a good start. Company-wide we enjoy an amazing ecosystem of an even gender split and a healthy balance of engineers and designers. Because Paperless Post isn’t supported by ad revenue, we get to spend our days focused on creating and improving on the ideal version of our platform, product, content, and partnerships for our users. We are proud that Paperless Post helped over 70 million people connect in the real world last year. Our product is global, and we are committed to being a company where everyone belongs. We encourage people from all backgrounds, races, genders, and abilities to apply! Paperless Post New York NY
