The Senior Copywriter and Editor are responsible for conceptualizing, researching, writing and editing content for all marketing initiatives. This person is responsible for bringing the brand voice to life and maintaining corporate branding guidelines and standards for multiple retail electricity brands. The Senior Copywriter and Editor will work directly with the marketing team, designers and developers to keep content fresh, dynamic and persuasive across various media channels including but not limited to web, email, direct mail, video, blogs, retail, and events. Proven experience as a Senior Copywriter or similar role is a must. Along with your application, please submit samples or links to your published work.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Create engaging, relevant, original copy for digital media and print campaigns, retail experiences and sales collateral
Understand business goals/products/objectives and translate those messages to the customer clearly and effectively
Collaborate with designers and marketing team to develop and execute creative strategies
Participate in strategic, creative brainstorming sessions that produce fresh ideas
Assumes responsibility for ensuring that the copy on projects fulfills the creative vision devised by project stakeholders
Responsible for maintaining corporate standards for all published written material
Remain current on the latest technology, interactive tools, industry trends, content management, usability, and design methodologies
Responsible for proofreading and reviewing all written content
Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field
Minimum of 5 years of advertising/marketing copywriting experience writing creative content for emails, direct mail, websites, video, print campaigns, and events
Minimum of 3 years of interactive/digital experience
Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and job functions
Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

Previous experience in energy, wireless, airline, banking, insurance or consumer products
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong interest in addressing and advocating for the end-user experience
Broad understanding of how strategy translates into a concept, brand and the importance of consistency in voice
Excellent copywriting, editing, proofreading and grammar skills
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong project management and collaborative skills
