The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Senior Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) works under the direction of CUIMC HR and provides support for CUIMC-wide collaborations that advance the breadth of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This individual will assist with CUIMC DEI strategic goals and Employee Resource Group (ERG) programs for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Co-leads monthly ERG meetings, and other regular/relevant events.

  • Establishes trusting and sustainable relationships with CUIMC schools, ERG groups, internal and external stakeholders, and networks to develop and promote diversity initiatives.

  • Manages DEIB events calendar, and shares necessary information with key stakeholders as needed.

  • Develops and shares communication messages and works on communication plan for: 1) internal communication; 2) external communication in various social media outlets.

  • Supports ERG leaders to host events meeting the ERG's agenda and goals.

  • Supports all in person and virtual ERG events by developing detailed agendas, assisting with room reservations, food and beverage needs, posts events on CU event page (bedawork), creates event flyers, and monitors registration lists.

  • Manages and maintains ERG zoom meeting calendars and membership lists. Adding new members on a weekly basis and ensuring all zoom functionality is accurate.

  • Schedules necessary ad hoc planning meetings as needed.

  • Assists with managing DEI shared mailbox, triaging emails to appropriate points of contact.

  • Provide post event surveys and assess and organizes data in response to CUIMC DEIB Strategic reporting, quarterly staff D&I reports and industry surveys.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience plus three (3) years of related experience.

  • Prior DEI programming or diversity-related projects experience.

  • Strong customer service skills; a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team.

  • Ability to collaborate and develop positive relationships with peers, hiring managers, and stakeholders is essential.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online survey tools.
