The Senior Controls Engineer will lead a group of Controls Engineers in working with Project Managers and shop personnel to design, implement and document control systems for various types of automation and robotic equipment.
You will be deeply involved with electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, PLC programming, machine power-up, debug, power-up and validation / buyoff.
Duties include: Conduct electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams and provide customer documentation as needed Ability and comfort programming PLC, HMI, Robots AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Vision Systems and other types of electronic devices Support Electricians and entire project team including Project Manager, Machine Builders and customer team Flexibility and comfort troubleshooting issues that arise Detailed-oriented open issues tracking Travel to install site for install and runoffs with customer when applicable and necessary Professional management of customer relationship and requests Real-time communication with company management on developments Teach less experienced Controls Engineers and Electricians Education and Experience Requirements At least five (5) years?
experience with automated equipment / machinery Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred Experience with welding applications preferred Ability to design electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed High regard for safety standards
Minimum requirements: 1. 5+ years of experience with automated equipment / machinery. 2. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred. 3.
Experience with welding applications preferred. 4. Ability to design electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
