Citi has a strong culture of control across the organization with partnership across all control lines of defense. To continue to strengthen the control environment and ensure accountability within the business, we are establishing an In-Business Risk and Control group as the first line of defense, supporting all domains and centers of excellence within the Digital Client Experience organization. We are seeking an In-Business Risk and Control Senior Lead to set the strategy to develop and implement controls and monitoring to ensure DCX operates within the Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) framework. The Risk & Control Senior Lead oversees 8-10 Control Leads.
Lead the work with function owners to identify and assess inherent risk, appropriately document controls, and execute monitoring in the most efficient manner.
Set a repeatable efficient process to identify changes in business strategy, regulatory environment, Citi policies/standards that may lead to an increase in Op Risk and to proactively adjust control and monitoring activities.
Review and approve the Operational Risk Matrix for new/expanded/modified products, services and features and the impact/changes to the risk and control inventory.
Work with the function owners to take action to mitigate operational risks before they materialize into operational losses.
Evaluate control issues and ensure adequacy of Root Cause Analysis and corrective action plans.
Make control recommendations based on thematic reviews or event root cause analysis and ensure CAPs developed and implemented.
Lead back testing for operational losses and high severity issues.
Prepare and present quarterly and annual MCA results.
Lead deep dives in areas with increasing inherent or emerging risk, in preparation for Internal Audit reviews, etc.
