Position Title: Senior Contracts Coordinator II/Deltek Contract Management System Specialist

Position Summary:

Leonardo DRS is seeking an exceptionally qualified Senior Contracts Coordinator who has experience with Cost Point Deltek Contract Management System Module for major weapon system acquisition to join our recognized team of experts to provide a solution for the U.S. Air Force's T-X program. Leonardo DRS ties together an exceptional T-100 Team comprised of Leonardo Aircraft's world-class aircraft powered by Honeywell engines integrated with state-of the-art ground-based training from CAE USA. The T-100 is purpose-built for a wide range of training capabilities, long-term reliability, and cost effective operations. The Contracts Coordinator will assist the DRS T-X Contracting Directorate in managing, and providing expertise in, the T-X Deltek Contract Management System in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Contracts Coordinator will report to the Director of Contracts while supporting the DRS T-X Contract Manager and Contract Administrators.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using the Deltek Contract Management System Module provide assistance to the DRS T-X Contract Directorate in performing contract data entry, extracting contracting reports, researching contracting information and resolving Deltek Contract Management System issues.

  • Interface with DRS T-X Finance and Supply Chain Subcontract Manager in support of the day-to-day Deltek Contract Management System to include the flow down of prime contract actions under the supervision of Contract Manager and/or Contract Administrator.

  • Assists in the preparation and administration of change proposals requests, change proposals, modifications, and delivery orders regarding the T-X Prime Contract.

  • Establish and maintain the official contract files and records for the T-X Contract Directorate.

  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative work within the Contracting Directorate. This work will primarily be performed using Microsoft Office package, like Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Maintains effective customer relations both internal and external.

  • Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends DRS' mission, values and culture.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and three (3) to five (5) years' experience or equivalent education and experience. Highly Desired: Associate Degree or higher in Business or Finance.

  • Three (3) years' experience with Cost Point Deltek Contract Management System Module. Highly Desired: At least one (1) year Deltek experience with a major/complex government contract(s).

  • Basic knowledge of the contracting process and terms: like Request for Proposal (RFP), Change Proposal, Negotiations, Modification, Delivery Order (DO), Purchase Request (PR), Purchase Order (PO) etc.

  • Basic knowledge of contracting types: like Firm-Fixed Price (FFP), Firm-Fixed Price Incentive (FFPI), and Time & Material (T&M)

  • Proficient in data entry and typing.

  • Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team.

  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage own time effectively, produce work of the highest quality, and meet deadlines consistently.

  • Must have knowledge of office procedures and excellent writing and interpersonal verbal communication skills.
