As a Senior Content Designer within the Product Design team at Snowflake, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience by crafting clear, concise, and engaging content across various digital products and platforms. Leveraging your expertise in content strategy, user research, and information architecture, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products communicate effectively and resonate with our users. You will lead the development of content guidelines, establish best practices, and drive the evolution of our content strategy to meet the evolving needs of our users. As the first Content Designer to join the team, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the discipline at Snowflake.

AS A SENIOR CONTENT DESIGNER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and execute content strategies that align with product goals and user needs, ensuring a consistent and cohesive user experience across all touchpoints.

  • Write, edit, and optimize content for digital products, including UI text, microcopy, error messages, notifications, and help documentation, adhering to brand voice and tone guidelines.

  • Collaborate with research on activities, including usability testing, surveys, and user interviews, to better understand user behavior, preferences, and pain points and use insights to inform content decisions.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to organize and structure content in a way that enhances usability and findability, creating intuitive user journeys.

  • Establish content standards, guidelines, and workflows to ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy of content across all platforms and channels.

  • Work closely with designers, developers, product managers, marketers, and other stakeholders to integrate content seamlessly into the product development process and drive alignment on content decisions to ship high-quality work.

  • Monitor content performance metrics, gather feedback, and iterate on content based on user insights and analytics data to continuously improve the user experience.

  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior content designers, fostering their growth and development within the team.

  • Participate in peer critique and present work in product leadership feedback meetings.

  • Ability to present and sell your ideas, create coalition, and build support across teams and stakeholders

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Proven experience of 8+ years as a content designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your work designing complex or enterprise-level software experiences

  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, with experience conducting user research and usability testing.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise content.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and user feedback to drive content decisions and improvements.

  • Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards shared goals.

  • Facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to integrate the work of multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, and facilitate design discussions that lead to company-wide outcomes and positively influence future delivery roadmaps.

  • Experience improving process and methodology to increase customer value, team velocity, and accelerate the adoption of new capabilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, HCI, UX Design, or a related field
