Senior Consultant, Salesforce Developer

Trissential is seeking a Senior Consultant, Salesforce Developer to join our client team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will provide innovative solutions for business needs while balancing effort and feasibility with cost and maintainability. A successful candidate will have a solid record of delivering technical solutions under timeline and budget constraints and a proven track record of working efficiently with business and technical teams. This role involves not only application development, but also project management, business and technical analysis, training, mentoring, innovation, collaboration, and supporting other technical and business resources. This role is open only to candidates authorized to work and reside in the US.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support

• Develop high-quality and scalable application logic with Apex and SOQL

• Create highly interactive UI using Visualforce, JavaScript, and JQuery technologies

• Develop custom applications using Salesforce.com and integrate Salesforce.com with other systems

• Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Salesforce.com platform

• Advocate Salesforce.com usage and mentor junior members of the development team

• Partner with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, and Service to implement and rollout cloud applications

• Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data

• Operate and leverage Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions, and production issues reported by end users

• Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to project management, business analysis, technical analysis, training, mentoring, collaboration, and supporting other technical and business resources

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lightning Framework, Apex, JavaScript, Aura, and Component-based frameworks

• Understanding of web development best practices, especially application security

• Awareness of the tradeoffs of development on a multi-tenant platform with known limits

• Extensive experience with Sales, Service, and Marketing Clouds

• Ability to collaborate efficiently with business and technical teams

• Demonstrated understanding and ability to articulate complex requirements

Essential skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred

• Equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement

• 4+ years of Salesforce application development, including code-based and declarative techniques

• Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle best practices

• A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion

Experience

• Salesforce Developer Advanced Certification is preferred

• Custom development experience on other platforms (i.e., C#, Java, Python) is preferred

• Experience in a Scrum/Agile development environment is preferred

• Understanding and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools is preferred

• Willingness to learn and use new technologies is preferred

• Experience in a non-profit environment is preferred

Benefits

Trissential offers competitive compensation package for full time roles. The hourly pay range for this role is $75 to $95 based on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; up to 48 hours of accrued paid safe and sick time, and 401k retirement savings.
