Job Duties

Serve as a member of the Energy and Engineering Professional Services Practice project implementation team responsible for supporting the Architects and Project Managing in the technical and solution configuration expertise of projects for requirements, design, configuring, developing and implementing OpenText's Energy and Engineering Content Management solutions for the entire engineering lifecycle. This includes capital projects, operational asset data management, and collaboration with suppliers. Support architects and business analysis in the functional and technical discussions from a solution configuration and technical expertise perspective. Responsible for quality execution of software installation, upgrade, configuration, development, testing, support, and overall technical delivery of OpenText Energy and Engineering and underlying software solutions. Deliver configurations and custom development from small to large sized projects. Response for quality execution of software installation, upgrade, configuration, testing, and support of solution deployments in internal environments to support customer workshops, self-enablement, and testing of current and new software releases of OpenText Energy & Engineering and underlying software solutions. Participate with other team members in pre-sales to provide solution implementation estimates for Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals, and Statements of Work. Provide suggested enhancements to the Energy and Engineering Product Management team based on customer feedback and industry trends and implementation experience.

Job Requirements

  • Employer requires master's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, and two years of experience in Engineering Document Management Applications.

  • Employer will also accept bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, and four years of experience in Engineering Document Management Applications.

  • Two years of experience with any combination of industry standard Operating Systems and Web Services Tools including Windows XP/7/8/10/Server, Unix / Linux, Mac OS, and VMware vCenter.

  • Two years of combined experience with at least two of the following industry standard and Solution Programming Languages, Applications and Tools including Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, JavaScript, DFS, D2FS, SQL Developer, Tortoise SVN, C++, SOAP web services, Oracle Weblogic, WebSphere, JDBC, HTML, DQL, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server, DFC, Eclipse, RoboMongo, Shell Scripting, Notepad/Notepad++, C#, RESTful web services, and Apache Tomcat.

  • Two years of experience with more than one of the following Enterprise Content Management Products and Utilities: Documentum Capital Projects and/or Asset Operations or competitive solutions; EDM (Extended ECM for Engineering) or competitive solutions; OpenText SAP for Plant Maintenance or competitive solutions; Documentum and OpenText Content Server; and Documentum D2.

  • Two years of experience in the support or deployment of an Engineering Document Management solution.

Additional:

  • Travel required: 30% travel to customer sites across the U.S.
