The Role

The Capital Markets Practice of our Banking and Financial Services Consulting Group is looking for Senior Consultant to join our journey. We're looking for someone who.

We are looking for a consultant to develop and implement Technology Controls and Information Security related policies, programs and tools. You will provide specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect Cognizant.

We're looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant's industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

• As part of our Management Consulting practice, serve as a Senior Consultant on a large-scale project for an end-client; work directly with banking client onsite in the Chicago office 3 days a week

• Drive requirements documentation and modeling operational processes in detail.

• Collaborate with other analysts, product owners, technology specialists in a multi-vendor environment to work towards issue resolution.

• Understand business requirements and perform data analysis and compile data gaps and review with business.

• Able to design flow diagrams for development teams to articulate requirements.

• Clearly communicate business priorities to partners in tech, design, and controls

• Assist in developing and managing product roadmap, driving prioritization of features while balancing customer and business impacts.

• Leverage data to understand user behavior and assist in product roadmap revision.

• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationship with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business analysis experience in Capital Markets, securities lending, securities finance, or custody withing banking and financial services industry

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications such as CFA/ FRM preferred, but not mandatory

• Strong understanding of securities lending processes, data models, and functional flows

• Ability to translate product vision into vertically sliced stories to develop the product iteratively

• Proficient in Agile methodologies

• Ability to dive into the technical details at logical level

• Demonstrated experience problem solving and developing products from scratch.

• Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model.

• Ability to handle ambiguity and white space

• Location Requirements: The ability to work on-site in the client office in Chicago 3 days per week for the duration of the project

• Ability to travel when needed for a project
