Senior Construction Manager/Resident Engineer

We are seeking a senior construction professional to manage the construction and implementation of major transportation projects throughout California with a construction scale greater than $1 billion.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for the following:

• Establishing and implementing construction management services for transportation projects.

• Oversight of activities that enable construction works to proceed, including environmental, engineering, third-party coordination, and contracts.

• Managing a comprehensive and diverse staff of engineering and construction professionals.

• Managing the delivery and high quality of all services under the contract.

• Technical compliance and administration of construction contracts.

• Enforcing contract terms and conditions.

• Documentation of contractual actions.

• Interfaces with the owner, engineers, architects, and other third parties.

• Implementation of cost and schedule control procedures for construction management.

• Management of RFIs, submittals, and construction changes.

• Review of contractor payment requests.

• Resolution of construction disputes.

• Development of periodic reports providing information on construction progress, schedule status, cost/budget status, and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

• Registered Professional Engineer is preferred.

• Minimum of 15 Years experience in Engineering and Construction.

• Managed and delivered a highly complex and large-scale infrastructure/transportation project.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent coordination and oral and written communication skills are required.

• Ability to manage a highly skilled team.
