TJG Construction General Contracting actively seeks Senior Construction Estimator skilled and experience in developing conceptual construction estimates, negotiated work, competitive bidding, etc.; to join our thriving Irvine, CA office.
The ideal and successful Senior Construction Estimator will have experience estimating ground up vertical building commercial new construction and renovation projects in value of $5 - $50 million.
This Senior Construction Estimator role requires thorough knowledge of all construction divisions, means and methods and to generate accurate scope and pricing based on limited information. The ability to manage a workload of multiple estimates and participation in GC/subcontractor project walks is required.
Candidates should be self-starting and highly motivated, with the capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The best candidates will be detailed and organized team players with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations.
Senior Construction Estimator Skills and Experience Needed:
Minimum of 10+ years of Construction Estimating experience within the Commercial Construction field
Must have Onsite Construction Field Experience
Bachelors Degree in Architectural, Engineering, Construction Management or Business is preferred (Not Required)
Proficient working knowledge of construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and MS Project
Proficient working knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, SmartBid or similar bid management software
The ideally qualified and experienced Construction Estimators will have previous construction estimating experience pertaining to Commercial, Corporate Office, Tenant Improvement, Healthcare, Hospitality, Multifamily and/or Retail new construction and renovations projects ranging in value from $5 - $50 million.
