Job summary

The Red Hat Global Finance Consolidation team is looking for a Senior Consolidations Financial Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support senior management decision making via global financial consolidation and analysis, moving beyond compiling numbers to providing actionable insight and analysis of business trends, financial performance, and implementation of strategic initiatives. You'll get an opportunity to assess the company from an integrated point of view, while driving better business partnering and insights. To be successful, you'll need to clearly communicate solutions to complex financial problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple geographies. As a Senior Consolidations Financial Analyst, you'll need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically with limited direct guidance. You'll also need to be motivated and have solid partnering, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to inspire or persuade multiple parties.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Partner with global business owners and finance support leads to provide operational analysis and reporting; guide improvements to operating expense efficiency and forecasting

  • Guide financial transparency and consistency across structurally and operationally differing financial support functions, including go-to-market, corporate, sales, and services, as well as geographic regions

  • Lead the consolidation of expense, headcount reporting, and capital expenditures forecast and actuals

  • Develop an understanding of Red Hat's global business model to identify financial trends and provide value-added analysis

  • Support long and short-term enterprise-wide financial forecasting, including full financial statement modeling, including balance sheet (BS), income statement (IS), and cash flow (CF) modeling, as well as finance support integration into sales and go-to-market planning

  • Provide support to the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) consolidation manager for ad hoc requests and preparation of financial analysis for executives as requested

  • Assist with the development of financial models and dashboards

Increase productivity by developing automated reporting and forecasting tools that will integrate with the financial and operational tools used by the company

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a business-related major; MBA, CPA or CFA degree is a plus

  • 5+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience including modeling and forecasting at a public company or investment bank

  • Experience with software and technology companies a plus

  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, and data analytics software

  • Solid initiative and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Solid analytical and data organization and interpretation skills

  • Results-oriented with excellent critical problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable presenting reports, insights, and plans for action to senior leadership

YOUR FOCUS (JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES): You will play an integral role in the development of new reporting (both management & financial), financial analysis models, forecasting models and planning models. In this role, you will also: * Support the Supply Chain, Merchandise and Marketing teams by evaluating financial and operational results of decisions and initiatives, providing insights, implications, and recommendations * Collaborate with key stakeholders across functions to develop accurate assumptions and analytical inputs to Gross Profit budget/forecast * Assist with the development and maintenance of an 18-month product level rolling forecast and weekly GP reforecast * Identify, understand, analyze and provide insight into key performance metrics * Provide root cause driver analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating the results into business insights and actions * Assist with the development, analysis, planning and implementation of supply chain solutions to improve efficiencies and reduce costs * Develop and maintain marketing and promotional ROI analysis and reporting to help drive efficient use of limited resources * Participate in month-end close reporting and analysis, including preparation of senior management reporting * Complete significant ad hoc analysis on all areas of the business as requested by the Director FP&A, VP FP&A, and CFO * Provide ad hoc support to the Supply Chain, Merchandising and Marketing Team, Finance Director and broader cross-functional team as required by the business QUALIFICATIONS You are a driven self-starter that can maintain focus, accuracy, and composure during high-expectation situations.
