The Red Hat Global Finance Consolidation team is looking for a Senior Consolidations Financial Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support senior management decision making via global financial consolidation and analysis, moving beyond compiling numbers to providing actionable insight and analysis of business trends, financial performance, and implementation of strategic initiatives. You'll get an opportunity to assess the company from an integrated point of view, while driving better business partnering and insights. To be successful, you'll need to clearly communicate solutions to complex financial problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple geographies. As a Senior Consolidations Financial Analyst, you'll need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically with limited direct guidance. You'll also need to be motivated and have solid partnering, negotiation, and analytical skills with the ability to inspire or persuade multiple parties.
Primary job responsibilities
Partner with global business owners and finance support leads to provide operational analysis and reporting; guide improvements to operating expense efficiency and forecasting
Guide financial transparency and consistency across structurally and operationally differing financial support functions, including go-to-market, corporate, sales, and services, as well as geographic regions
Lead the consolidation of expense, headcount reporting, and capital expenditures forecast and actuals
Develop an understanding of Red Hat's global business model to identify financial trends and provide value-added analysis
Support long and short-term enterprise-wide financial forecasting, including full financial statement modeling, including balance sheet (BS), income statement (IS), and cash flow (CF) modeling, as well as finance support integration into sales and go-to-market planning
Provide support to the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) consolidation manager for ad hoc requests and preparation of financial analysis for executives as requested
Assist with the development of financial models and dashboards
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting and forecasting tools that will integrate with the financial and operational tools used by the company
Bachelor's degree in finance or a business-related major; MBA, CPA or CFA degree is a plus
5+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience including modeling and forecasting at a public company or investment bank
Experience with software and technology companies a plus
Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Tableau, and data analytics software
Solid initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
Excellent communication skills
Solid analytical and data organization and interpretation skills
Results-oriented with excellent critical problem-solving skills
Comfortable presenting reports, insights, and plans for action to senior leadership
