  • This position will be responsible in monitoring and responding to events on consoles and troubleshoots and resolves mainframe and production control incidents.

  • This position implements standard procedures and manages incidents in the production environment.

  • This position supports daily operational procedures to maintain 24x7 environment service levels

  • This position delivers internal and external customer support and interacts with vendors to resolve issues. The position does not require traveling in personal vehicle

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or the equivalent preferred

  • The Sr. Console Operator must be well organized and task oriented with effective written and verbal communications skills.

  • Zone of Separation Environment (Z/OS)

  • Beginner Data Communications, DB2 Data Sharing, Tivoli

  • Intermediate Level Proficiency with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Time Sharing Option (TSO), Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS)/ Job Control Language (JCL), Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS)/Virtual Telecommunications Access Method (VTAM)

  • Intermediate WebSphere

  • Intermediate Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software

  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

(NYSE: HNGR) as the Senior Manager of Accounting Operations at our Southern Prosthetic Supply ("SPS") and Hanger Supply Chain ("HSC") Division, located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Accounting, this position oversees the shared services center transactions including, but not limited to cash collections and accounts receivables, cash disbursements and accounts payable, and billing. Additionally, the position will be expected to recommend and implement process improvement initiatives and to create and report on key metrics of the function. Your Impact * Lead our Accounts Payable team of six ensuring we pay on-time, every time, capitalizing on early payment discounts, while ensuring the accuracy of coding invoices to the GL in the correct period, appropriate segregation of duties, and ensuring validity of transactions * Lead our Accounts Receivable team of nine ensuring we efficiently determine new customer credit lines, process customer payments, resolve customer issues and effectively communicate with sales and customer service on troubled accounts * Lead the Billing team of eight efficiently processing vendor invoices and immediately rebilling customers for drop-shipped items, ensuring the proper controls are maintained prior to payment of invoices * Create and maintain close relationships with Sales, Purchasing and Customer Service functions ensuring we provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers * Implement, monitor and report key metrics including, but not limited to, headcount, personnel productivity, transaction processing levels, percent of transactions via EDI, percent of disbursements via payment type (check, ACH, wire, credit card), aging of payables, days payables outstanding, aging of receivables, days sales outstanding, changes in customer credit status, etc. * Ensure close process and SOx controls in area are in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and promptly resolve potential control issues * Assist in the creation or maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ensuring sustainable and repeatable business processes and execute process improvement recommendations * Provide support as needed for technical accounting memorandums * Engage with external and internal auditors to provide accounting, audit and SOx documentation support Minimum Qualifications * BS degree in accounting and a CPA is Required * Minimum of ten years accounting experience in increasing levels of responsibility * Minimum of three years overseeing a shared services environment (AP, AR) Additional Success Factors * Exhibits excellent leadership and management skills * Effective, clear and persuasive oral and written communication skills with individuals and groups; adapts communication to audience * Experience successfully interfacing with Big 4 auditors to resolve complex issues * Experience using and/or implementing large ERP systems * Proven experience achieving results through influencing team members * Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and written and verbal communication skills * Highly motivated and flexible to changing priorities * Detail oriented and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment * Expert user in Microsoft Applications, especially Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint * Experience driving automation and continuous process enhancements * Public accounting experience a plus * Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships. * Keep the patient at the center of everything that you do, building lifelong trust. * Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you. * Continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change. * Focus on superior outcomes, and calibrate work processes for outstanding results.
