As a member of the Regulatory Compliance team, the Senior Compliance Auditor (Sr. Auditor) will lead and perform compliance focused audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as support SCA's compliance program. The Sr. Auditor will assist the Compliance Audit Manager in development and facilitation of the department's annual workplan as well as act as the lead for other audit staff. The Senior Compliance Auditor will also perform analytical activities as part of SCA's compliance program. The Senior Compliance Auditor will work with all Support Services departments as well as interact directly with SCA's facilities.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Performing all phases of compliance related reviews and support activity (e.g., hotline, excluded party screening)
Lead and monitor staff auditor in their reviews
Performing all phases of facility site reviews
Assist in the integration and acquisition process as needed
Serving on project implementation teams
Working effectively with other departments/external sources
Working as part of a team who support each other to accomplish set goals and objectives together
Travel approximately 6-7 times a year or as needed
Education and Work Experience:
Four year college degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or health care administration required.
3+ years of experience related to health care operations, regulatory compliance, and/or healthcare compliance preferred
Audit experience required
Understanding of healthcare compliance and compliance related principles
Understanding of audit procedures and internal controls
Excellent planning, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
Flexible attitude and open to changes in the audit schedule
Absolute attention to detail

If not already achieved, obtain either of the below certifications within first two years of employment:
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation
Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC)
