The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide analytical support and project leadership to the administration of compensation programs, the development and implementation of tools and materials, and ensuring our programs are aligned with the organization's pay for performance philosophy. Responsible for the analysis, administration and implementation of all annual programs to include the annual merit process, broad-based compensation, as well as short and long-term cash incentive plans. Work with HRIS and Payroll to support the annual processes and payouts. Prepares complex/detailed analyses to assess the effectiveness of reward programs.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an internal consultant to HR Business Partners and department managers related to job classifications, pay ranges, current compensation policies and procedures

  • Assist in the communication materials around general comp guidelines, as required

  • Ability to influence leadership level positions and also use flexibility to determine how to best meet business needs within business or compliance constraints

  • Maintain job description library

  • Perform market pricing of benchmark jobs and assist with survey submissions to help identify emerging trends

  • Conduct FLSA review of new positions and/or those requiring review

  • Ability to be a good team player (internally & externally to HR), proactive partner with business leaders

  • Ability to interact at all levels within the organization


  • 5+ years solid compensation experience

  • Proven experience in the design, implementation and use of compensation tools and technology

  • Strong knowledge of compensation terminology and practices

  • Excellent skills in problem solving and ability

  • Ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with appropriate partners across all levels of the organization

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Collaborative work style with a focus on providing exceptional service to all clients

  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities

  • Self-driven and strategic in thought processes to draft recommendations and conclusions after analyzing data

  • Must have the ability to understand inter-dependencies of compensation and reward programs

  • Working knowledge of HR principles and best practices

  • Must have expert Microsoft Excel skills

  • Solid knowledge of job evaluation procedures and FLSA

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Technology proficient to support implementation and ongoing involvement in new platforms


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

The Senior Compensation Manager will manage and administer elements of YETI's Talent programs and practices for job classification, compensation for all categories of employees including management, professional employees, support and retail employees. Responsibilities include documenting and communicating program guidelines and administrative processes, assuring compliance between programs and YETI practices and preparing a variety of reports and analysis. This individual will also participate in planning and negotiating services and products and will manage relationships with external vendors on relevant projects. Responsibilities: * Evaluates job classifications, maintains survey participation and collection and other rewards projects and research. Monitors effectiveness of such programs. * Supports Senior Director, Talent Operations with equity plan administration (audit, grant and vesting processes), stock plan tool administration, and assisting with Stock Admin vendor management * Prepares, communicates and administers equity programs; Coordinates closely with finance, legal, payroll, and tax relative to long-term incentives * Works with executives, managers, employees and other Talent team members resolving classification and compensation issues * Keeps current with legal developments or governmental actions which affect compensation planning * May conduct or respond to a variety of surveys on Total Rewards or oversee Talent Operations employees performing this work * Monitors work of external consultants on projects relating to compensation and various rewards programs on an as needed basis * Provides Talent team training in new systems and procedures; Keeps team informed about YETI rewards Qualifications and Attributes: * 8+ years professional or management-level experience in compensation or total rewards * Experience includes significant involvement in job evaluation, market surveys, and compensation programs (both broad-based and executive compensation) * Knowledge of computerized tools and resources, especially proficiency in Excel and HR Information Systems (HRIS) including their application to Talent needs and Talent technology and practices * Public company experience required * Knowledge of contemporary principles, practices and legal requirements associated with Human Resources and labor relations * Experience blending and adapting human resources principles and programs to YETI * Strong communication skills with specific experience preparing and presenting information effectively and persuasively to employees at all levels * Lead support staff when required * Work effectively to achieve established goals in an environment emphasizing collaboration and process * Ability to work under pressure and comfortable within a highly dynamic environment that may include frequent disturbances to workflow * Demonstrate high flexibility and may include working outside of normal business hours YETI is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LI-LG1 Yeti Coolers, LLC Austin TX
