Join us as a Senior Compensation Analyst!
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Senior Compensation Analyst to join our HR Compensation team.
The Senior Compensation Analyst role is an independent contributor with knowledge and experience in Firm-wide and Corporate Compensation activities who is responsible for leading Firm-wide compensation analysis, reporting and metrics. We are looking for someone who has strong technical skills (Excel, Access, BBH Compensation planning system) and is comfortable with data, analytics, financially numerate in accounting and reconciling salary and bonus budgets. This role primarily supports firm-wide initiatives under the direction of the Global Head of Compensation while also providing back up support across the compensation team as needed, particularly during year end.
This is an opportunity for someone who is strong technically and financially numerate and wants to learn and grow within the Compensation discipline.
Key responsibilities include:
BBH Promotion Program
Candidate will be the lead manager of the BBH promotion program and will be the primary contact with HR Business Partners. Candidate will also:
Create compensation increase recommendations using pre-determined guidelines
Create presentations for Firm Senior Executive Committee
Analyze data for trends and prepare graphs and charts detailing findings
Lead process enhancement reviews
Compensation Analytics
Identifies the need for and creates reports to support compensation initiatives and Senior Executive meetings
Assist Head of Compensation in ad hoc analyses pertaining to firm wide initiatives and programs
Year End Compensation Program
Responsible for year-end reporting that is used by the Head of Comp for presentations to Senior Executive Committee
Assist Head of Comp in the preparation of Senior Executive Committee materials
Responsible for accuracy of source data for Year-end compensation system
Assist in Year-End process analytics and reporting
Maintain web pages for Year-End compensation system and HR Portal compensation pages
Market Pricing System
Manage employee and survey upload process to maintain data integrity
Lead on the survey submission process
Partner with vendor to develop custom reports to meet Compensation Team needs
Project Management
Acts as lead and/or active team member on compensation related projects such as People fluent conversion compensation program design and implementation, external bench-marking studies.
Participates in broader HR initiatives representing the Compensation function
Completes compensation related ad hoc requests
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
3-5+ years of experience in compensation, finance, or in a technical field
Advanced knowledge and application of Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups, graphs, macros, scenario modeling)
Knowledge of Access Database Tables, Queries, and Reporting
Strong analytical skills
Ability to get to the root cause of an issue and understand it's impacts both technically and to a non-Compensation professional
Ability to solve routine problems and issues independently, knowing when to leverage SMEs to resolve more complex situations
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting all deadlines
Experience actively participating in compensation year end salary and bonus cycles
Experience leading Projects- leveraging project management discipline
Preferred Tools: Working knowledge of Workday, People fluent and Pay factors
CCP or other HR certification a plus
This role is based in our Boston location and is a hybrid role, with three days per week in office.
