The primary objective of a Senior Compensation Analyst is to provide advanced consulting and analytical expertise to support the development, design, implementation and administration of compensation programs, practices, and policies to meet the changing needs of Memorial Health System's compensation program and associated practices. They will work closely with the leadership team on the development of job descriptions, job families, evaluating jobs, reviewing qualifications and licensure requirements for compliance with legal guidelines and recommend range placement based on market data and internal equity.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in human resources, business or finance, or related discipline

  • Master's degree in business administration, human resources, or finance or comparable is preferred.

  • Has attained (or will be actively pursuing) the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or comparable compensation designation

  • Professional human resources certification(s), i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP is preferred.

  • Four or more years of professional-level work experience in human resources, finance or related field is required.

  • Experience as a Compensation Analyst is strongly preferred, ideally in a major health care system.

This position exists to guide and assess quality of internal control processes define key performance indices, establish processes for performance management data collection, provide independent reporting to all stakeholders, ensure transparency of IT's performance, and develop related policies and procedures. Of strategic importance to Horace Mann, Governance support regulatory requirements, cost optimization, and active management of the return on IT investments. What you will be doing: * Work with stakeholders to elicit and produce comprehensive internal control processes and metric reports. * Analyze industry standards and measures. (ITIL, COBIT, etc.) * Monitor and ensure compliance to internal control policies and procedures. * Analyze and audit processes and related tasks * Support research into root causes of complex technical incidents, document findings, and work with IT management to develop remediation options, and present findings to IT Senior Leadership Team. * Document and maintain the library of Policies & Procedures. * Support the development of improved IT processes which reduce risk. * Work closely with auditors and technical subject matter experts to satisfy any internal or external audit requirements. * Produce independent reporting or key metrics from disparate data sources, including a combination of system based data and manually tracked information (i.e. Audit, Critical Root Cause Analysis, Fraud Assessment, Key Processes, Risk Register, Scorecard, Service Level Performance Analysis, etc.). Education and Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance/Accountancy with MIS concentration or related fields. * At least 5 years of IT work experience with progressive responsibilities, in multiple IT areas * At least 5 years of a combination of quality assurance, project management, and auditing experience (IT or general business) or a combination of comparable fields of experience * Strong working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Project Life Cycle principles * Working practical knowledge and technical understanding of IT hardware and business software applications * Excellent research and documentation skills associated with end to end process analyses. * Working knowledge of HEAT service desk application and Serena workflow application with associated database schemas and tables and third party data mining and reporting tools such as SSME, SQL, Crystal Reports, etc. * Professional experience with and knowledge of a broad range of IT systems, i.e. PC, Server, physical, virtual, mobile devices, DSE, Mainframe, etc. * Excellent PC skills -- Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio * Project Management Professional (PMP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and/or internal audit certifications a plus * Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) experience is a plus * Insurance industry experience is a plus. * Must have a commitment to continuing education. * Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
