Job Summary
Position is responsible for developing internal communication strategies and implementing initiatives that support functional, service line, campus or System priorities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business/Strategy or related field preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: (None)
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Four (4) years of professional experience in communications
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines.
Principal Accountabilities
Develops and implements internal communications initiatives to include campaigns, plans, blogs, newsletters, leadership and business communications.
Understands how to build effective messaging and write for different audiences and channels.
Demonstrates ability to understand and measure impact of efforts and adjust accordingly.
Experience supporting town halls and large-scale business meetings a plus.
Collaborates with others across communications team, marketing and digital marketing team, colleagues and others within the service line or campus/entity as necessary to accomplish communications objectives. Maintains positive relationships and ensures all stakeholders work together to achieve bottom line results.
Works as part of a team in one or more areas including digital or social media, public relations, brand and advertising, and more.
Works independently, using good judgment, on assigned projects related to overall communication strategies.
Advocates for safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
