Senior Communications Professional - Global Communications Strategy, Capability and Operations, K-C Corporate Communications

Location: Dallas

Position Purpose:

Reports to the Director of Communications Strategy, Capability and Operations and serves as an integral member of the Corporate Communications Team in Dallas, Kimberly-Clark HQ. As an individual contributor they serve as a strategic communications adviser to all global communicators across Kimberly-Clark.

As part of executing the K-C Way of Communicating, this role develops and deploys short-term and long-term communications strategies and initiatives that support the global functions' operations in these key areas: measurement, channel management and existing/future tools including digital. Identifies new areas of learning and leverages knowledge gained through application. Partners and influences global communicators to successfully support key business and functional priorities. Leverages knowledge of Corporate Communications and the Kimberly-Clark employee mindset to advise and assist decision-making.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Develops and implements communications strategies that support the corporate team, business units and global team operations overall. This includes:

  • Measurement - tools, metrics, tracking, reporting and leveraging insights to influence strategy.

  • Tools and Channels - identifies and evaluates best practice communications tools and channels, ensuring their effectiveness in delivering strategy. Leverages comprehensive research and future trends to develop, pilot and implement future tools and channels to enable the function to become world-class.

  • Actively builds and manages relationships with all global communicators to further strategy, identify opportunities and foster collaboration.

  • Works with agency partners as needed.

  • Lends support to key deliverables within the Global Communications Strategy, Capability and Operations team when required.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required:

This position requires 5-7 years of experience working in Corporate Communications and/or Marketing either in-house or agency.

The incumbent has a minimum of a bachelor's degree.

He/she must:

  • Must possess these competencies at a relatively high-level: channel management; project planning; measurement; outcomes focus; audience understanding; critical thinking; active listening; interpersonal influence; and message creation

  • Have the ability to partner with leaders/teams and influence to achieve communications goals

  • Demonstrate the ability to create communications plans

  • Demonstrate ability to build a business case for change

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects from conception to completion within deadlines and budget

Finally, he/she must contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.

This is professional and administrative work overseeing and coordinating printed and electronic materials providing engaging, informative, strategic and creatively packaged content primarily about UNT's academic affairs, scholarship and research, as well as campus life, community outreach and other activities for the university's Academic Affairs. Content should always showcase the university's strongest assets and support UNT's progress in the achievement of its mission and goals. This individual works independently and as part of work teams in collaboration with other URCM staff members and others across campus to accomplish content creation and dissemination. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: * Works to create strategic content for UNT's Provost and academic affairs initiatives such as the university's Frisco campus and online class offerings that align and embed messaging in all materials such as websites, emails, brochures, white papers and magazines. * Consults and coordinates strategic communication and marketing plans, identify and communicate key initiatives to internal and external audiences identified by URCM in partnership with the the Office of the Provost. * Develops an understanding of the needs of the variety of audiences for materials to create audience-targeted content that resonates. * Creates content that supports the university's academic affairs goals and university initiatives overall while advancing the university's vision and goals, highlights UNT's growth as a student-focused research university and provides an entertaining, engaging and informative experience in all materials (print and digital). * Protects and promotes the image of the Provost by coordinating a communications strategy and creating a communication plan for all messaging. * Plans, researches, reports and writes strategic communication in appropriate voice and tone.
