What you will do:

Under general supervision, perform programming, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of Fire Alarm Systems per contract obligations. Possesses technical competence on Fire Alarm Systems and the ability to resolve or guide others through systems problem resolution. Provides detailed information to communicate design to customers, installation or service team and subcontractors.

How you will do it:

  • Adhere to all OSHA and Company Safety Standards with a high degree of regard to employee, subcontractor and customer safety.

  • Configure low voltage systems, which utilize both core (Simplex/Tyco) and third party fire alarm products and systems /electrical technology as defined by the project specification while maintaining quality and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Read and interpret complicated blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and operational product manuals.

  • Execute projects on time and within allocated installation hours.

  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills by consistently communicating with the operations team staff and project managers to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Assists engineering and sales by providing technical recommendations to produce job layouts and bid proposals.

  • Complete field reporting and required project/safety documentation daily, through communication devices such as smart phones and laptop computers.

  • Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we look for:

Required

Massachusetts Class D Systems Technician License

Preferred

  • Five (5) years' experience in addressable and conventional Fire Alarm Systems
  • OR -
  • Two (2) year associate degree in a technical field such as electronics, electricity or equivalent.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings to meet customer requirements.

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer interaction skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of test equipment to include oscilloscope, multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices.

  • Pass criminal background check and drug test.

  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

  • Have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs, unaided by management.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 72, 70, and other applicable National, State and Local codes.

  • Ability to retain any licenses that are required.

  • Self-starter needed that can work with minimum supervision.

  • Completion of manufacturers training within 12 months.

  • NICET II certification or higher preferred.

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking to hire a Senior Clinical Application Analyst to join our EOHHS IT Support group and will be responsible for customer/user satisfaction as it relates to IT services and support at 4 public health hospitals. The 4 public health hospitals that we support are the following: Lemuel Shattuck Hospital - Jamaica Plain, Tewksbury hospital - Tewksbury, Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children - Canton, and Western Massachusetts Hospital - Westfield. The Senior Clinical Application Analyst will mainly focus on clinical systems in the radiology and laboratory departments. The Senior Clinical Application Analyst will be responsible for performing tasks associated with managing, prioritizing, and resolving help desk tickets, responding to user service requests for associated systems and hardware, and developing existing applications as the hospitals' needs change. Incumbent will assess, debug, and resolve technical problems associated with desktops and system peripherals. Incumbent assists with the monitoring/maintaining the health and integrity of the network and associated software. Incumbent also will participate in an on-call rotation to respond to errors and issues during off-hours. The primary work location for this role will be at 3 Randolph Street Canton, Massachusetts 02021. The work schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Responsibilities: * Respond to and resolve tickets and incidents in accordance with EOHHS IT policies and procedures as they relate to customer support and updates * Manage the upgrade of hardware & software when necessary to insure that all services are provided in a secure and timely fashion. This includes but is not limited to new Anti-Virus, Operating System patches, or other mandated vendor software upgrades. * Assist assigned sites in configuring hospital specific applications to respond to their needs as requested by staff. * Clearly communicate and/or escalate to their supervisor any IT operations issues or disruptions (planned or unplanned) to minimize user impact. * Work collaboratively with internal and external groups in a team environment to improve overall customer service and support. * Utilize any and all resources available through EOHHS and other sources for assistance with problem resolution. * Responsible for timely response and support during scheduled and authorized non-business hours to ensure continuity of services to the network environment. * Install and move assets as required according to EOHHS policies and procedures * Assist with meetings special projects and other requests as required maximizing the efficient use of IT resources. * Complete all activities within EOHHS security policies and practices to ensure the safety and privacy of data, its clients and its resources. * Act as the contact person for office wiring/cable installations and performs related duties as required. * Assist with site specific projects as related to network infrastructure & server support * Assists with troubleshooting and resolving Network issues and infrastructure as required. * Assist with backup and restore process to include swapping tapes, restoring files, and transfer of media as required * Support, trouble shoot and configure remote access to assist network users with connectivity to EOHHS network from non-magnet connections. * Support of personnel as it relates to the use of equipment/software in the EOHHS enterprise environment as needed. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Minimum 3 years of direct experience related to clinical IT applications in use at modern hospitals with a special focus on the PACS system, laboratory systems, and HL7 interfaces. * Extensive knowledge and experience supporting a modern Electronic Health Record, like MEDITECH, McKesson, Cerner, Epic, etc. * Expert knowledge of HL7 and other health IT communication protocols. * Knowledge of modern computer hardware and architecture. * Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems through current version. * Ability to effectively use MS Office tools (Visio, Project, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) * Knowledge of and experience with the Local Area Networks (physical and logical). * Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of computer hardware (PCs, Laptops, Printers & Peripherals). * Knowledge and experience with basic security measures and requirements. * Accomplishment and proficiency in performing all general and detailed responsibilities and duties. * Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision as needed to accomplish the responsibilities of the position. * Ability to monitor IT desktops and associated network performance. * Working knowledge of how IT Operations group supports the agency's business needs. * Working knowledge of Helpdesk system. * Skill growth and knowledge attainment in emerging technologies. Education and Certifications: * Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
