Leads junior staff in completing initial underwriting and analysis models for all new loans in collecting, analyzing, and verifying all property related information, current and historical operating statement and rent roll data, borrower financial and experience information, market, submarket and neighborhood characteristics and demographics, comparable rent, sales and capitalization rate information and any other relevant information. Directs the collection and review of all required closing documents, leases, survey, title policy, organization documents, borrower financials, estoppels and other applicable closing items. Primary resource in assisting Asset Management and Servicing areas with all post-closing servicing requests, collection efforts and other loan or property related items requiring information or follow up with the borrower.
Leads junior staff in preparing detailed submission packages for review by the Vice President prior to submission to the home office underwriters for ultimate approval by the credit committee. Packages include borrower resume and financials, property operating history, rent roll, market rental and occupancy data, location information, building characteristics and demographic information. The package will also contain initial loan sizing and recommended pricing for the investment.
Primary point of contact between borrowers and home office closers in all aspects of the closing process by facilitating the timely delivery of all necessary borrower provided documentation, financials, operating statement information, and any other information required by the closer. Acts as a liaison between the borrower and all third-party report providers in gaining access to the property.
Assists the home office servicing manager with all payment, tax and insurance related issues. Assist the asset management group with all borrower requests including loan assumptions, assignments, escrow draws, partial releases, and tenant lease related activities by acting as the liaison between the borrower and Asset Manager. Assists home office management in all special servicing related matters in the event of a loan default.
Supports the Regional VP in maintaining relationships with borrowers, developers, mortgage bankers and brokers under by acting as the primary point of contact on all follow up items.
Researches, reviews and analyzes market and submarket data and prepare periodic reports on market trends in the applicable markets and regional territory. Alerts management as to any negative or positive trends in the markets.
Responsible for all regional portfolio surveillance, quality ratings, annual inspections, and in the collection and analysis of annual property rent rolls and operating statements. Primary responsibility for any borrower or property related follow up items.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Progress towards CCIM, CFA or other industry accreditation
Real Estate related software applications experience
Experience in working in an Insurance, Reinsurance, Financial Services company

Good understanding of commercial lending, real estate, servicing financial and legal concepts
Good understanding of commercial loan valuations and property operating statement reviews
Customer service oriented; responsive to requests from internal and external customers

State of Colorado: This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $80K-105K per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
