The Global Commercial Credit (GCC) team vision is to "Provide the World's Best Credit and Underwriting experience every day"! GCC strives to nurture the right balance between helping Commercial consumers in need by offering a range of financial advocacy services, repayment programs and taking actions to mitigate risk to the company. The GCC Client Financial Solutions team leads portfolio-based loss mitigation and collection efforts. We serve as our Risk Mitigation Team, providing our Corporate & Small Business clients with customized payment arrangements.

As a Sr. Commercial Loss Mitigation Specialist, you will counsel & build customized short, or long-term, payment resolutions with high exposure/high risk Corporations/Small Businesses that have outstanding past due balances with American Express. You will govern a portfolio of high exposure Corporate Program and/or Small Business accounts which require tailored workout payment options, structured to fit the consumer's financial affluency while satisfying American Express' need to be repaid timely. You will examine client's financial health, including free cash flow, and ability to establish a mutually rewarding resolution.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • The successful Analyst is a highly organized, deadline driven individual with a passion for understanding the Commercial Consumer's financial standing and background within Commercial Collection and Workout; our Analyst will effectuate customized payment plans, recovering payments directly from the consumer.

  • We will conduct in-depth credit risk analysis for intricate Commercial Consumers who have high credit exposure or request high spending capacity. The financial evaluations will focus on the consumer's creditworthiness, including free cash flow evaluation.

  • Understanding of a broad range of industries and their associated risk is essential; will work closely with leadership in the day-to-day operation of the team.

  • Analyst will serve as a second voice to Junior Analysts and other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The successful applicant is results oriented, demonstrates a passion for service and is resilient under stress with a will to win attitude

  • Critical comprehension of Consumer's ability to pay inclusive of free cash flow analysis

  • Extensive analytical and forward-thinking capabilities, with a focus towards purposeful problem solving

  • Excellent collaborative, interpersonal communication skills; able to build relationships effectively

  • 3+ years of Commercial Collections and/or Workout experience

Salary Range: $24.05 to $48.10 hourly + bonus + benefits
