Summary Description

The Senior Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist will be responsible for the most complex servicing activities as it relates to commercial real estate and residential construction loans, and to provide reviews, approvals and mentoring to the junior servicers. The role is responsible for preparing and reviewing various reports that monitor various servicing activities and helps inform operations management on these activities.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Draw Servicing

  • Responsible for preparing and monitoring reports as it relates to commercial and residential construction draws.

  • Reviews/approves draw requests for commercial and residential construction loans.

  • Assists in completing commercial real estate and construction draws as needed.

  • Loan Administration

  • Has the knowledge and ability to complete all monetary or servicing activity within the department with autonomy

  • Responsible for the most complex servicing requests with autonomy.

  • Assists in reviewing wire funding packets and requests.

  • Assists in collateral release reviews, approvals, and tracking the release once approved.

  • Assists in reviewing and approving loan payoff quotes and payoffs

  • Assists in completing local collateral inspections as needed.

  • Department Administration

  • Responsible for reviewing wash account general ledger reports to maintain timely and accurate accounts.

  • Responsible for preparing reports to monitor release, draw and other key servicing functions and presenting to operations management.

  • Responsible for aiding management in process improvements and departmental documentation.

  • Responsible for ad hoc projects.

  • Responsible for reviewing loan review and audit requests.

  • Assists in mentoring/advising junior servicers.

  • Assists in QA/QC activities.

  • Other

  • Responsible for maintaining SLA, quality, and productivity measures.

Requirements/Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, 2+ years of college preferred.

  • 10 years of experience in loan administration or similar financial/banking experience preferred.

  • Experience in construction draw administration and management preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements

  • Excellent understanding of bank systems and processes.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills - must be detail-oriented and thorough.

  • Good interpersonal communication skills: ability to effectively interact with individuals in all areas of the bank.

  • Good mathematical skills.

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to adapt and/or align with the evolving landscape and business changes

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and positive professional development to others.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment; Tuesday-Thursday in-office; rotating Monday & Friday

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

  • Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods.

  • Ability to conduct keyboard/computer work for extensive periods.

  • Ability to communicate clearly (understand/be understood) with customers in person or over the phone/computer.
