Key Purpose:

As a Senior Commercial Finance Manager, you are part of the EXEC team of the America Travel Retail business and as a key business partner you will play a crucial role in driving the financial success of the company by providing strategic financial analysis and insights. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations and performance of the organization's commercial activities. Your primary objective will be to optimize financial performance, identify growth opportunities, support effective decision-making, and provide business updates and financial analysis.

  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the financial performance of commercial activities, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management.

  • Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans.

  • Support and drive Revenue Growth agenda for the America DF business; be a key and active member of the Revenue Growth community across GTR and share best practices/implement new ideas through comparisons and exchanges with peers in other affiliates.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the financial performance of commercial activities, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management.

  • Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.

  • Monitor key financial metrics, such as revenue, profitability, and cost control, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Business Partnering and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to support commercial initiatives and drive business growth.

  • Provide financial guidance and analysis for new product launches, pricing strategies, and market expansion plans.

  • Participate in strategic planning activities and provide financial insights to support the development of business strategies and objectives.

  • Support and drive Revenue Growth agenda for the America DF business; be a key and active member of the Revenue Growth community across GTR and share best practices/implement new ideas through comparisons and exchanges with peers in other affiliates.

Financial Planning and Rolling Forecast:

  • Lead the rolling forecast process for commercial activities, working closely with business leaders to develop realistic and achievable targets.

  • Monitor and track actual financial performance against rolling forecast targets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Risk Management:

  • Evaluate and assess potential financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to senior management.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Team Management and Development:

  • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Projects:

  • Support global and local IT and other projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting within a commercial or business finance role.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial software.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
