Senior Cloud Service Reliability Engineer
Summary of the role:
We are looking for Cloud Engineers to join our Cloud Competency Center where you will build, configure, operate, and scale more than 200 OpenShift platforms operating in both public and private clouds. These platforms are responsible for hosting Amadeus' global platforms serving over 200 airlines, 6000 hotel properties, and much more. By joining our team, you will be at the forefront of Amadeus' technology transformation as it enables all our business segments to leverage the capabilities of a modern cloud-native application. This is a hybrid position which would require you to come into our Bogota office 2-3 days a week.
In this role you'll:

Bring innovative ideas and solutions and drive continuous improvement to deliver quick, frequent evolutions of the platform that mitigate mistakes, failures, and incidents
Share your knowledge and empower users and developers of this revolutionary platform

Deploy, configure, and operate PaaS (RedHat OpenShift) platforms in private & public clouds
Define and implement relevant monitoring and alerting and policies as code
Define and evangelize cloud-related optimizations and best practices to improve reliability, stability, and performance
Work closely with Architects and Software Engineers from various product teams to implement new initiatives
Conduct proof of concepts and studies to deploy new features to the PaaS platform
Work with the developer community to understand their business objectives and translate them into workable prototypes
About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree or higher.
5+ years relevant experience in operational service roles, and 1+ years' experience with cloud/PaaS and DevOps technologies
You'll love embracing new technologies and bringing innovative solutions to the table
Experience running a sizeable environment (1000+ hosts)
You seek challenges, you are a problem solver at your core
You like working on a team that is diverse and shares a unique global perspective to design solutions that will directly impact the travel eco-system
You'll have a solid grasp of scalability, stability, and security challenges of a customer-centric, cloud-based applications
Experience in managing Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters.
Some knowledge and experience in Python, Java, Go, Groovy, Terraform
Solid scripting skills (Shell, Python, Ansible)
Experience in troubleshooting network, security and infrastructure issues is a plus
