Senior Cloud Network & Security Engineer

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Cloud Networking and Security Engineer to join our team. This person will work in our customers multi-cloud environment providing technical support for dozens of enterprise applications. The candidate must have experience creating and maintaining highly scalable and fault tolerant multi-tier AWS and Azure environments. The Candidate must possess an active Top Security Clearance.

Teamwork is a key element of the position, not just with the Infrastructure team, but also with the database and application teams, the developers and system owners when resolving issues as well as when planning and executing system enhancements. This person needs to have good observational and analytical skills to help identify and resolve issues with the systems and deployments before and after they occur. Position will at-times require after-hours and weekend work to support Critical application upgrades/deployments and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the design, architecture and security requirements and deployments for multi-cloud routing involving Azure, Oracle OCI, Aviatrix and VMWare HCX Technologies.

• Manage the integration of Microsoft Azure cloud and Oracle OCI Cloud in terms of Cloud networking and security, Routing, IPSec, BGP, complex overlays and tunneling technologies along with VMware HCX and Aviatrix.

• Bring strong knowledge and experience in articulating pros and cons of architecture decisions and developing impact analysis of those decisions.

• Be able to provide strong insights and manage the technical assessment of issues/solutions, architectures and implementation models with actionable recommendations.

• Provide excellent acumen and support in resolving complex networking issues in a multi-cloud environment.

• Manage the multi-cloud integration needs in terms of performance analytics, optimizing network and routing for application performance issues.

• Be able to bring in relevant knowledge and expertise in information security standards and frameworks like NIST and the controls implementations.

• Provide all the necessary in-depth network integrations support to drive the enterprise-wide application migrations to a multi-cloud environment.

• 7+ years' experience with Expert level technical knowledge in multiple specialized areas that comprises technology solutions from different vendors such as VMware, Azure Cloud, Oracle OCI Cloud, Aviatrix, Palo Alto

• Must have in-depth architecting, designing and hands-on experience for 5+ years in:

• VMware HCX Advanced & Enterprise, tunneling, NSX-T, Distributed Switches, Load Balancers, NSX-T DFW.

• Aviatrix networking and security, controllers, gateways, Aviatrix Edge, routing optimizations, HPE encryption, tunneling, security and tuning.

• Palo Alto Next Gen Firewall.

• Azure Networking technologies, ExpressRoute, Global Reach, Azure Virtual WAN, Virtual Network Gateways, Azure Monitor.

• Azure VMware Solution (AVS), VNets, Entra ID, Azure Bastion, Azure security.

• Oracle OCI Cloud networking, Fast connect, Service Gateways, DRG's, inter-connects, OCI to Azure multi-cloud interoperability, OCI Network firewalls. VCN and troubleshooting.

• Expert level knowledge in multi-cloud connectivity, architecture, infrastructure designs across several technologies with hands-on experience in troubleshooting, metrics, and best practices.

• Developing and implementing STIGs, handling security requirements, FEDRAMP compliance, security solution designs, with strong knowledge in security best practices and latest security techniques and protocols.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Business Analysts).

• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or related IT field

• 10+ years' expert level experience with multi-cloud network and security integrations involving multiple cloud service providers (CSP) with Azure, OCI and AWS.

• Expertise in Multi-cloud Azure and OCI, cloud architecture and design, datacenter migrations implementing a multi-cloud deployment model with APPs in Azure along with Exadata RAC databases in OCI Cloud.

• In-depth knowledge for advanced network and routing troubleshooting, getting to root causes in problem resolutions in a timely manner.

• Developing and implementing operational best practices for the enterprise networking environment involving multi-cloud deployments.

• 5+ years of solid operational hands-on experience integrating and managing multi-cloud environments especially Azure, OCI and AWS.

• Strong hands-on enterprise experience with network and security monitoring tools and different vendor solutions to monitor, optimize and tune networking deployments across multi-cloud.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
