Job Description

HireVue is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with experience designing and implementing solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The role requires hands-on engineering of cloud-based solutions to meet complex and changing business requirements in addition to experience supporting traditional on-premise technologies.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid foundation in Cloud and IT infrastructure, experience working with the latest generation of cloud services (particularly all fundamental Azure services), and a desire to learn/test/design/deploy the latest cloud technologies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Above all else, this individual should have a desire to provide awesome customer service and the ability to think outside the box when solving technical or business challenges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and document standards for other members of Enterprise Tech to use as guides to follow or as a tool for KT.

• Strictly adhere to standards, including documenting exceptions to those standards

• Communicate and train on those standards.

• Working closely with InfoSec to ensure the standards and designs meet our security requirements.

• Demonstrates good judgment in implementation and design, with minimal or no guidance.

• Designs and implements solutions that cross team boundaries.

• Works independently and collaborates with other teams of the company on complex projects.

• Able to communicate with leadership regarding the future direction, current needs, and challenges of their team(s).

• Teaches others how to use development and architectural patterns effectively.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal canddiate will have a strong understanding of various resource types and when to leverage (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. DRaaS) as well as a strong working knowledge of Powershell and leveraging Azure CLI. The right candidate will have a background in automation, leveraging technologies available in the Azure ecosystem to support asset provisioning, including account provisioning and deprovisioning.

Education and Experience

• At least five years of experience in a cloud computing environment.

• Five years hands-on experience leveraging Microsoft Azure and Office 365

• Five years hands on experience supporting traditional IT Infrastructure (On-premises datacenters and enterprise networking)

• Experience supporting data migration and infrastructure consolidation initiatives relative to mergers and acquisitions (M&A): Cloud to cloud migration, email and data migration to and from differing systems (O365, G-Suite, on-premises Exchange) to also include traditional file server and cloud-based storage technologies.

Because this position requires full production administrative access and our customer contracts require certain restrictions, employees must have US citizenship and live and work in the United States.
