Senior Cloud Development Engineer

Our Pega Cloud team focuses on delivering services that are essential for Pega as a Service success. As a member of one of the most innovative and fastest-growing groups at Pega, you will work closely with talented engineers and product owners across the globe (US/EU/India) to build a highly scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) offering.

What You'll Do at Pega:

60% - Cloud Software Engineering

• Build highly-available, scalable cloud-native systems using Golang, Java, or Pega Platform

• Work as part of a collaborative agile team and lead User Stories to completion

• Participate in code reviews

20% - Cloud Service Design

• Work with Product Owners and other stakeholders along with the team members to design and document new Pega Cloud features

• Design and execute unit, integration, and API test

20% - Cloud Service DevOps

• Leverage DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines to enable automated operations of our services

• Assist our operations team with sophisticated operations along the entire service lifecycle

Who You Are:

"* You are a passionate developer with sufficient experience to drive chunks of work to completion solely

• You understand the basis of DevOps culture, and you want to grow yourself to be a technically versatile person

• You want to have an impact and help us with our Pega Cloud ""as-a-Service"" evolution"

What You've Accomplished:

"* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

• Strong knowledge of Golang, Java, or Pega apps development, ideally in the microservices aspect

• Very good understanding and experience in Cloud technologies (should present knowledge level of AWS Associate Architect or equivalent for Google or Azure)

• Good knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code (Helm/Terraform/Cloudformation)

• Very good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (having CKAD certification is a plus)

• Be able to problem solve, troubleshoot, and debug Linux and development stack (Linux, Tomcat, PostgreSQL, etc.)"
