Provide technical, educational,operational and sales support to assist the district in meeting CRHF sales andcustomer service objectives. CRHF seeks candidates who will meet ourcustomer expectations by striving without reserve for the greatest possiblereliability and quality in our products, processes and systems by beingaccountable, having a voice and taking action.


  • Technical Support

  • Successfully completes CRHFField Technical Training including online and field-based training

  • Performs checks/interrogationsof all CRHF medical device systems post sign-off

  • Supports implants of all CRHFproducts post sign-off

  • Provides on-call support asneeded on evenings and weekends post sign-off

  • Provide troubleshootingsupport as requested

  • Operational Support

  • Assures completion of patientregistration and any other required hospital documentation

  • Helps manage consignmentinventory and trunk inventory once obtained

  • Provides additional inventorysupport to meet customer needs

  • Maintains software onprogrammers throughout the district as directed

  • Assists with managing dailycoverage logistics as needed

  • Educational Support

  • Educates and trainsphysicians, hospital personnel and office staff on products or solutions forwhich training has been completed

  • Assists with educating andtraining new Clinical Specialists and Sales Representatives post sign-off

  • Sales Support

  • Partners with DSM, Sales Repsand DM to learn market dynamics and local customer motivations and needs; has abasic understanding of how Medtronic CRHF products and solutions offer value tothe customer

  • Assists with obtainingcustomer POs throughout the quarter

  • Has a basic understanding ofthe competitive landscape

  • Independently identifiescustomer needs and opportunities and provides feedback to Sales Rep(s) tosupport sales objectives

  • Ongoing Technical Development

  • Stays up to date on newproducts, solutions and patient management offerings

  • Completes all assignedtraining in a timely manner

  • Performs other related dutiesas assigned



  • A HighSchool Diploma plus 9 years of clinical specialist experience with a medicaldevice pacing company, OR
  • AnAssociate's Degree plus 7 years of clinical specialist experience with amedical device pacing company (or 6 years with 2 years of prior healthcare orengineering experience), OR
  • ABachelor's Degree plus 5 years of clinical specialist experience with a medicaldevice pacing company (or 4 years with 2 years of prior healthcare orengineering experience)


  • Thorough working knowledge ofmedical terminology and the medical device industry

  • Proven ability tobuild/maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues acrossorganization levels

  • Strong work ethic inaccomplishing objectives of the position

  • Expertise with Microsoft toolsand other applications (i.e.,

  • Ability to meet vendorcredentialing requirements

  • Excellent customer serviceskills

  • Excellent interpersonal,written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability tocoordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects in a fast-paced environmentin an organized manner while meeting deadlines

  • Clinical Specialists are required to bewithin their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needsarise. CS's are required to work a number of weekend and holidays during thequarter, as determined by local management. Weeknight call coverage is the primary responsibility of the Sales Rep,however, at times, business and/or geographical needs require a CS to bescheduled for week night coverage as approved by regional management.

Serves as the initial client contact to obtain patient demographics, type of referral, and type of insurance and insures information is communicated to pharmacy, clinical team managers, respiratory and home medical equipment. Primary Responsibilities: * Collects and records initial client information to include type of referral, type of insurance, and patient demographics * Requests the referral source fax orders on all patients. Verifies client benefits * Notifies pharmacy, nursing, RT, and HME when verification complete * Coordinates with HME to insure availability of requested supplies or equipment * Obtains authorization for skilled nursing visits, DME, medications, and shift care If authorization is denied, communicates with clinician to obtain additional information so authorization will be approved * Notifies nursing, CTM, pharmacy, RT and HME when authorization is approved * Processes Tl 9's for Medicaid patients by obtaining Tl 9 from physicians, faxing Tl 9 to Medicaid within 72 hours, and tracking Tl 9 to ensure authorization is complete * If care is not authorized upon initial submission of T19, contacts Medicaid to clarify information necessary for authorization * Enters information in Brightree and Kinnser Systems * Completes assignment of benefits * Authorizes all new orders as soon as they are received * Notifies clinician if initial justification is necessary for reauthorization * Expresses verbal and written communication in a clear, positive and cooperative manner Required Qualifications: * Accredited high school diploma or GED * Highly developed customer service and organizational skills * Excellent computer skills including the ability to type a minimum of 25 WPM * 1 years in an office setting * 1 years customer service THE HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 10 A.M.-7 P.M.
