Senior Clinical Pharmacist NCIS(National Cancer Information System) in one of
Dublin's most prominent Hospitals

What you need to know:This is a permanent
Full-time role (35hrs),
Monday-Friday with flexible start times. Full training is provided.The salary follows the HSE payscale (Enquire for explanation). The purpose of this post is to provide a high-quality comprehensive service to your area of responsibility by promoting the best clinical, safe, and cost-effective use of medicines resulting in safer and better outcomes for patients.
What you'll be doing:- Systems administrator for NCIS in CHI, responsible for the smooth running of the system in the hospital. Responsible for ensuring an effective business continuity plan is place.
- Work with key local stakeholders to progress the configuration and implementation of the National Cancer Information System (NCIS)
- Participate in relevant NCIS working groups and training programmes
- Lead and advise on the development, build and test of paediatric Systemic AntiCancer Therapy regimen for NCIS and the related drug file in liaison with the local stakeholders and NCCP NCIS
- Work collaboratively with the local NCIS project manager and raise issues with the local project board and NCCP NCIS programme, as appropriate
- Collect, interpret and present data on Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) activity and expenditure as required by CHI and NCCP.
- To identify any risks to the safe medication usage within NCIS.
- To feed-back to managers any perceived risks that may require escalation.
- Actively participate in continuing education and research activities consistent with the post.
Collaborating with: - Chief 2 Pharmacist for Haematology-Oncology Clinical Services (line manager)
- Clinical Lead for NCIS & Pharmacy Informatics CHI
- CHI NCIS project board
- NCIS team at NCCP
What we require:- At least 3 years post-registration experience within a Hospital setting (Non-Negotiable),
- Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland is a must,
- knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
