Responsibilities

• Maintains patient, employee, physician, and corporate confidentiality; respects the rights, privacy, and property of others

• Develops the information flow through patient encounters of all types, and communicates these clinical requirements to other Clinical Informatics Department members

• Assists the IT Team in developing workflow improvements by data gathering and appropriate analysis and testing

• Utilizes the requirements and processes of obtaining complete medical history and physical data from patients to assist in developing a non-obtrusive manner for entry into the computerized medical record

• Able to interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed in order to test effective application of the software

• Monitors proper flow of clinical and demographic data to assure accurate and timely ordering of laboratory and other diagnostic procedures

• Understands what instructional information and education should be given to the users in order to utilize the system software tools effectively

• Provide functional support, design, training and guidance in physician practice clinical application, during both implementation and on-going support phases

• Participates in the on-call and/or clinic rounding rotation duties in support of our users, which includes physicians, support staff, and clinical management

• Assists with software function testing as needed to ensure effective use of the system

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

• Performs other duties as assigned by the lead

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Master's Degree or equivalent business experience in a clinical setting

• Three (3) years experience in a physician group, or similar health care area

• Experience with training responsibilities

Preferred Job Requirements

• Subject matter expertise with an electronic medical record
