If you are located in the state of PA, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Pittsburgh, PA preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement applications, tools, and processes that assist clinicians with the management of data in patient care and the provision of health care

  • Maintain changes to referential data, across clinical / financial applications assigned

  • Assist with application implementation and system customization including the development of alerts / hard stops, data

  • integration, order generation, automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to workflows

  • Provide technical support, diagnosis of application errors and troubleshooting with system issues

  • Interpret, modify, analyze and design clinical/financial systems, data and information

  • Facilitate clinical content team - work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals to evaluate current EMR functionality and develop future applications by building consensus and using efficient decision-making processes

  • Recommend innovative ideas, processes, and / or procedures for enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing systems

  • Serve as a resource person for daily operational issues within the electronic health record

  • Work with other members of the team to implement solutions to system related problems to minimize operational impact

  • Review the work of others

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience combined in IT / healthcare

  • Understanding of Medical terminology and workflows

  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • IT experience with system configuration, custom development, maintenance and software upgrades

  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations

  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Experienced in one or more of the following: Clinical Systems, Practice Management, and/or Rev Cycle implementations and support

  • Experienced RN or Medical Assistant

  • Experience with Allscripts, Docutap or Athena

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
