The Clinical Services Group (CSG) is responsible for the development and implementation of HCA's electronic health record (EHR). The Clinical Informatics (CI) Systems Governance & Operations team manages and optimizes the EHR across multiple software versions and various vendor platforms in HCA facilities. The CI Senior Clinical Analyst, is a member of the CI Systems Usability team, and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of clinical decision support tools within the EHR.

This individual will:

Design, test, implement, support, maintain, and/or evaluate new or modified health information systems to support patients, and health care professionals.

Apply health-related, discipline specific knowledge (e.g., clinical care, healthcare operations) to health information technology systems.

Serve as Subject Matter Expert on any requests for new templates or changes in existing content

Manage, track, and document clinical reviews of new content by physician leaders and other clinicians

Manage scheduled maintenance and updating of nursing & physician documentation and evidence based order sets (EBOS), including versioning and synchronization of clinical content updates

Present data formally and informally and facilitate discussion regarding physician ordering and documentation

Jointly, with the help of management, to create quality deliverables and meet stated milestones

Work with IT&S Product Development to assure projects and ongoing maintenance/operations occur on schedule

Work with IT&S Product Development and CSG SMEs to assure end-user education and communication to the field is well documented

Facilitate, lead and document working sessions where operational workflow items are discussed to understand the impact physician ordering and documentation

Participate in HCA-wide work teams to identify best practices and determine options and opportunities for optimization in physician ordering and documentation activities

Provide continual operational support to field operations teams, assisting in troubleshooting issues when necessary and in a timely manner.

Support collaboration of multiple disciplines and working relationships with corporate departments, divisions, and facility leaders.

Cross-coordinate with other HCA solutions or projects, and work with other analysts/specialists/coordinators, leadership, and stakeholders

Support project teams in integrating physician ordering and documentation activities into their project plans

Research new data sources and analytical tools; contribute to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation

Ability to participate in multiple activities and tasks simultaneously.

Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Preferred experience:

  • Five plus years of hospital clinical experience required/RN Preferred

  • Experience with EHR's (Meditech, EPIC, Cerner, PatientKeeper, etc.)

EDUCATION:

College Degree. If NO college degree than 4 additional years of relevant experience is required

JOB SUMMARY: The Mobile Analytics product analyst will be responsible for driving a mobile analytics strategy with CRM, marketing, and IT partners to provide key insights on user behaviors in the new MyHealthOne (patient portal) mobile app. Additionally, the product analyst will be responsible for connecting the mobile application's data to larger HCA data repositories to better understand the complete user's journey before, during, and after interacting with the MyHealthOne mobile app. Background: MyHealthOne (MyHealthOne.com) is HCA's patient portal that provides lab results, pre-registration, pre-procedure, appointment scheduling, class/event registration, bill pay, etc…features to HCA patients. The MyHealthOne mobile app will be developed in 2019 to better serve HCA patients and will require analytics tracking to understand user behaviors within the app in order to provide key business insights and continually improve app functionality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Consult with CRM business leaders to define reporting and analytics scope/requirements * Coordinate with IT team members to create an analytics implementation strategy * Design and develop operational and executive reports/dashboards utilizing tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, Teradata and Tableau. * Integrate MyHealthOne analytics data with additional data sets including HCA's data warehouse to supplement app behavior data with additional patient clinical data and marketing analytics data * Analyze data and recommend solutions to measure performance trends, to increase efficiency and quality, and to ensure compliance * Analyze data and provide solutions to measure marketing performance trends and provide insights into marketing initiatives and strategy. * Create data mapping documents, report mock-ups, run procedures, test scripts * Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to drive meaningful analysis and data storytelling * Identify and recommend analytical tools, methods and data sources * Successfully manage numerous open, active requests simultaneously * Respond to ad-hoc analysis and report requests * Work with managers and team members to resolve data and reporting issues * Participates in IT&S and departmental project activities or other duties as assigned; such as: attends project meetings, testing, developing or reviewing documentation and best practice procedures, supporting pilot programs or implementation, etc. Skills Needed: : Able to succinctly communicate verbally and in a variety of media. * Able to design and develop solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements. * Demonstrated ability to facilitate diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment. * Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership skills working with diverse and complex projects. * Detailed oriented and analytical with good organization skills. * Must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. * Strong problem and issue resolution experience and create quality deliverables. * Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization. * Highly motivated and be able to work independently with little supervision.
