Job Description:

Fundamental Administrative Services, a health care consulting and management company based out of Sparks, MD is searching for a Senior Clinical Analyst to join our team.

About the Position:

The Senior Clinical Analyst serves as a key clinical IT resource for the support of a broad set of clinical applications.

Position Summary:

Holds primary responsibility for the support and maintenance of the clinical applications in use by organization; Functions as a clinical expert on Matrix functionality e.g. MDS, Care Plans, Physician Orders, POC, and Documentation; Maintains a detailed understanding of assigned applications/systems; Translates operational needs into application and/or system solutions, developing and testing applications for customers; When appropriate, trains users on system use ensuring that data input and information retrieval are done properly; Provides accurate, timely, high-quality customer assistance and problem resolution services in a professional manner.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Prior working experience in project management practices and skills, system analysis techniques, communications and training.

  • 5 -10 plus years working in a HealthCare field and experience with utilizing and/or participate in the implementation of a Electronic Health Record System.

  • Strong working knowledge of electronic health record systems from a variety of healthcare settings e.g. long term care, hospital, home health

The Analyst works directly with a wide cross section of world\-wide sources, including users, internal and external stakeholders, Marketing, program management, and Software management, software developers and software testers to analyze information, generate functional requirements, and derive solutions\. The Analyst acts as a requirements engineer for one or more Scrum teams – identifying customer needs, eliciting requirements, evaluating project inputs, interpreting and refining product backlog items, and helping the development team transform them into working software\. The Analyst works to refine the product backlog contents on an ongoing basis: requirements are analyzed, new user stories are added, and existing ones are refined \- typically just\-in\-time, before the next sprint planning meeting\.
