The mission of the Office of K-12 School Choice is to support quality public and private educational choice programs by providing information and assistance to promote successful outcomes for students, families, institutions, and communities.
Job Description/Duties and Responsibilities
The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position for a Private School Assistant that is responsible for executing the following functions:
The person in this position performs administrative and clerical duties in support of the Private Schools and Scholarship Programs staff in the Office of Independent Education & Parental Choice, including but not limited to following:
Assist in managing the operation of private school registration including assigning school codes and corresponding with private school administrators regarding the procedure for opening a private school, the registration process, and submitting the annual survey
Provide customer service by answering calls and prepare written correspondence to private schools and the general public regarding private school registration, accreditation, closures and the location of records and transcripts
Scan documents related to private schools, converting them to searchable text and maintaining files
Route documents received to appropriate staff members
Assist with record archiving process
Perform related duties as required

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
