QualificationsÂ
- Understand principles, practices, codes, and standards of civil engineering.Â
- Advanced knowledge of the approval and permitting process for projects.Â
- Effective communication, financial management, and leadership skills to manage multiple projects, clients, schedules and budgets.Â
- Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines and managers.Â
- Serve as the main point of contact with the client; receives and conveys client goals and objectives to team members.Â
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $130,000-$150,000. Â

Your Day to Day:Â
- Act in a lead position, providing technical direction over a group of civil designers and functioning as a technical specialist and consultant for our internal staff.Â
- Lead new business development, promote repeat and referral business with existing clients, and participate in networking events and business development meetings.Â
- Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, promotional materials, and professional services agreements; is responsible for the preparation, obtaining internal and external approvals, and managing final execution and subsequent amendments.Â
- Plan, develop, and coordinate the team during the execution of projects.Â
- Takes an active role in coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to less-senior level staff; provides daily “on-the-job” training for team members.Â
- Manage project budget; communicate budget allocation to staff for their respective assignments.Â

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Engineering from a four-year, board-approved engineering curriculum.Â
ExperienceÂ
- Typically, 15+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.Â
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills in mentoring, training, coaching, and developing
