Performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects. May also support procurement and construction phases or projects with engineering knowledge and experience. Performs other duties as required.
Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis
Development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.
Engineering Reports are often a work product.
Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures
Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies solutions to non-standard requests.
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline.
Responsible for planning, technical execution and progress reporting on assigned projects.
Design of various drainage structures including trenches, culverts, manholes, headwalls, sumps, and outfalls.
Design of site earthworks including rough grades, final grades, slope stabilization, soil remediation, retention structures, and storm protection structures.
Design of road, haul, and access ways.
Capable of hydraulic calculations, interpretation of geotechnical data, and able to prepare and check specifications.
Works independently with minimal guidance.
BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Proficient in EarthWorks software such as Geopak, Inroads and SPR.
Familiar with design codes such as NFPA, IBC, AASHTO, and ASCE
Familiar with SWPPP and other permitting processes
Minimum 5 years' experience in designing Oil & Gas facilities
Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline.
Usually determines own work priorities.
