What you will enjoy doing* (DUTIES)

• You will lead global civil, structural, and architectural engineering discipline efforts in the preparation of deliverables in collaboration with Linde Engineering team and external parties to create procurement, fabrication, construction packages including engineering analysis, calculations, and specifications

• Perform engineering analysis and calculations for civil and structural designs for industrial structures. Coordinate with the design team to prepare optimized design concept for foundations, equipment structures, and buildings for new facilities and revamps of existing facilities

• Generate design sketches for feasibility studies and estimates quantities of civil and structural materials

• Develop engineering criteria or basis of design documents based on current codes and standards

• Also you will prepare specifications and compile bid packages and coordinate with procurement and construction from initial quotation to order execution for foundations, steel structures, buildings, HVAC, and civil, structural, and architectural related components such as geotechnical investigations, geophysical surveys, ground penetrating radar, site preparation, architectural building fabrication including HVAC, and construction packages

• You will review vendor and shop drawings for civil, structural, and architectural materials

• Support procurement, fabrication, and construction by coordinating resolution of technical issues

• Lead resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, suitability of materials and perform complex tasks often requiring development of new designs, processes, or techniques to develop or adapt designs

What makes you great (REQTS)

• You must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position, in the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the stated field of study plus three (3) years of experience

• Further five (5) years of experience (or three (3) years in the alternative with a Master's) must include: Civil and structural design and engineering of corresponding components in LNG, Natural Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, and Industrial Gas facilities

• Performing analysis and design of various structural steel and concrete structures LNG, Natural Gas, Petrochemical and Industrial facilities including piperacks, platforms/walkways, equipment skids and foundations, silo foundation, pressure vessels foundation, metal building foundation

• Designing foundations including straight shaft piers, under-reamed piers, isolated footing, continuous footing, mat foundation, driven piles, pole foundation, and slab-on-grade foundation; US design codes, standards, and specifications including ACI-318, ASCE 7, AISC, IBC, PIP, OSHA, API

• Performing analysis of slender process columns/stacks to determine the support reactions, checking local stresses on pressure vessels, design of base rings, saddle supports, and lifting lugs using Von Karmen analysis, ASTM STS-1, and API 560

• Performing structural steel analysis and design using software including Risa 3D, StaadPro, and Versaframe; and Modelling structural steel supports, connections, reinforced concrete foundations to preparing drawings packages using AutoCAD, CADWORX or SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Review or Navisworks software

• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license with ability to obtain licenses in multiple states

• 10% domestic and international travel to Linde Offices

What we offer you!

This position offers a salary of $121,347/ year USD. The weekly working hours are Mo - Fr (40 hours per week). It is a full time role.
