The Senior Category Manager will work with a team of Category Management, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain professionals to optimize sales and profits for both UPHE and Amazon. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the development of category strategies and leadership initiatives. This position reports to the Vice President for the Amazon Account Management Team.
Leading the Joint Business Plan and Levels of Service processes including planning, tracking and re-forecasting volume, efficiency, profitability and spending to identify opportunity gaps vs. our objectives internally and with Amazon
Ensuring that Annual Strategic and Tactical Plans align with company objectives as well as industry and retailer insights
Using data driven insights to help the customer team identify profitable, incremental, sales opportunities and/or opportunities for greater efficiency
Building and maintaining long-term strategic relationships with the customer through objective and actionable insight and strategic discussions and presentations
Ensuring that analysis and insight of retail programs is actionable, accurate, timely and presented in a professional and practical manner.
Providing updates and guidance to Finance and Sr. Management leaders on a regular basis
Analyzing industry, category, customer and shopper insights along with macro market trends and translating that data into actionable insights that drive strategic and tactical decisions at the customer and internally
Working closely with the Team Lead, SAE and the Customer Marketing Manager (CMM) to provide insights that drive overall improvement in strategic and tactical decisions at Amazon
Leading and developing the Sales Analyst to deliver on company and personal objectives.
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years consumer packaged goods, category management, retail planning or home entertainment industry experience
Strong forecasting, analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent interpersonal, presentations and communication skills
High degree of computer proficiency especially Excel and PowerPoint
Strong leadership skills; ability to direct activities of cross functional team members toward stated goals
Strong understanding of retail finance
Good organizational skills and the proven ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment
Excellent project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
