Job Listing: Senior Cashier/Banquet Lead

Location: We are seeking a Senior Cashier/Banquet Lead located at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid, NY. Mt. Van Hoevenberg is the home of a state-of-the-art Biathlon & Cross-Country Ski Center, World Class Combined Sliding Track, 55 km (about 34.18 mi) of Cross-Country Ski Trails & more. Home of the 2025 Bobsled World Championships, 2023 FIL Luge World Cup, 2023 IBSF Bobsled World Cup, and more world-class sporting events.

What You will Do: The Senior Cashier/Banquet Captain is responsible for ensuring that guests receive exceptional service in both the 81/18 Café and during banquet events. You will operate the cash register and complete transactions with a customer-first approach. The Banquet Lead is responsible for ensuring that guests receive an exceptional level of service by supporting Banquet staff and supporting the Banquet's operations at all points of sale.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Accurately operate the cash register/POS and complete the transactions.

• Contribute to the goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to teamwork and service.

• May be required to perform non-routine cash functions and help train new cashiers if needed.

• Provide support to the operation, including setup, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting in cleanup and closedown.

• Contribute to the efficient operation of the business unit by assisting the Hospitality Manager- Banquets; Monitor and ensure that tasks are completed by Banquet staff in an effective and efficient manner.

• Maximize customer satisfaction and support banquet operations by assisting in executing catered events and functions in accordance with Sodexo Live! standards, guest expectations and specifications as per Banquet Event Orders and catering contracts.

• Provide support to the operation, including setup, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting in cleanup and closedown.

• Responsibilities are subject to change depending on business necessities & client requirements.
