The Highlights

This Senior Carrier Account Executive will sell to wholesale Carrier segment across the Charter footprint. The Carrier segment is defined as ILECs, MSOs, CLECs and other wholesale cclients. The primary role of the carrier account executive is to successfully penetrate carrier accounts, ensuring that sales targets and quotas are met or exceeded. This might entail penetrating new carrier accounts and/or increasing penetration within existing accounts. In this role, you will be tasked with achieving revenue goals by developing relationships with prospective carrier wholesale clients and maintaining long-term relationships with current carrier wholesale clients.

What you will do

  • Devise, communicate and execute account development plans including a multi-faceted, cross-functional contact plan

  • Develop and maintain accurate sales and/or revenue forecasts and manage quota funnels

  • Maintain and improve individual knowledge on company products, services and market dynamics

  • Manage and increase book of business

  • Meet or exceed revenue sales objectives

  • Penetrate new segments and accounts

  • Increase account penetration and profitability

  • Accurately forecast new revenue by maintaining 90-day forecasts

  • Identify, qualify and develop long-term positive, professional relationships with carriers and related integrators including the execution of nondisclosure and master service agreements

  • Develop strategic account plans to increase revenue and growth

  • Coordinate with the network sales engineer to create and present proposals that successfully meet clients' communications requirements

  • Manage relationships and position within multiple departments of carriers and strategic accounts to maximize new revenue and increase occasions to win strategic opportunities

  • Manage the long and complex sales cycle for the client to close the sale and provide an effective solution

  • Oversee entry of account progress into the Salesforce database and complete paperwork and progress reports

  • Provide direction by working with support teams that coordinate administrative requirements of Carrier sales process

  • Present sales and channel performance to Charter executives regularly

Required keys for success

  • Three or more years of experience in carrier/wholesale arena

  • Three or more years of experience in sales and major accounts

  • Demonstrated ability to sell enterprise-grade business communications solutions to large clients

  • Experience selling to wholesale customers

  • Experience with solution or value software applications, e.g., Salesforce

  • Advanced knowledge of information system protocols, e.g., SONET, ATM, Ethernet, frame, MPLS, TCP/IP

  • Strong knowledge of broadband technology and broadband and telecommunication business practices

  • Knowledge of network security and redundancy

  • Advanced ability to utilize strategic negotiating skills

  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to find creative solutions to resolve complex and difficult problems

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Prioritize and organize effectively

  • Excellent communication skills

Your education

Bachelor's degree in marketing, technology or related field, or equivalent experience

The Highlights The National Account Manager is a senior consultative field sales position within the National and Carrier sales team. In this role, you will sell voice, data, cloud and video infrastructure within an assigned portfolio. The position will focus on showing prospective national clients how our innovative business solutions will help satisfy their growing complex technology and communications needs.
