The BD function links Raytheon's technology and innovation with an expanding number of domestic and international customers and in core markets such as sensors, effects, C3I, mission support and cyber.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) BD team for a Senior Campaign Manager in Capture Management that is in support of our Mission Systems & Sensors (MSS) business area. Raytheon's fast-paced and growing Multi-Function RF Systems (MFRFS)/ Ku-band RF system (KuRFS) product lines. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing a prioritized synchronization strategy that focuses on expanding the MFRFS/KuRFS product line's customer base, both domestically and internationally. You will also be responsible for developing a path to win additional contracts domestically and internationally in 18 months, establishing long term market growth to support the product line's 5 year plan, coordinating and managing New Business Investment (NBI), capture/proposal gate reviews, program performance reviews, technical briefings and customer visits enabling these awards. In addition to growing and maintaining the customer base of MFRFS/KuRFS, you will be responsible for forward-thinking on how the radar's capabilities can be integrated with other technology in Raytheon and helping the product line meet its targets and commitments including bookings, pipeline growth, new business investment funding, and overhead budgets. MFRFS Products are in a high demand phase due to the industry leading capability they provide enabling continued significant business growth. We are just getting started!
Potential locations for this position are: McKinney, TX, Woburn, MA or Washington, DC metro area. McKinney, TX is preferred location. This position will require approximately 50-60% travel to include both domestic and international customer locations for briefings, presentations and tradeshow support. Routine travel to McKinney, TX for product line discussions and training early on will likely be necessary if not located in McKinney.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the development, integration and execution of the MFRFS/KuRFS BD strategies
Grow and maintain the MFRFS/KuRFS customer base both domestically and internationally
Manage the day-to-day cadence of tasks and processes to operate the MFRFS/KuRFS capture function
Work closely with the Tactical Radar Program Management team, BD Managers and BD Director
Work closely with our other RTN businesses in our common capability campaigns to grow awareness of our products and integrate them into other business area solutions
Help manage outside BD representatives and consultants
Help implement initiatives across the function focused on continuous improvement and efficiency achievement, such as through Six Sigma efforts
Apply Capture/Proposal Process (Integrated Product Development Systems-IPDS) best practices
Leverage BD metrics for continuous improvement initiatives
Initiate Export Licenses (DSP-5/DSP-85) and work closely with Raytheon Global Trade, Raytheon Enterprise Technology Release Office (RETRO) and Export/Import (EXIM) organizations
Drive the MFRFS/KuRFS product line towards a Program of Record status
Routine coordination and collaboration with Raytheon Corporate USBD Team, Raytheon Government Relations and applicable Field Offices
This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in the defense industry or equivalent military or government experience
Experience/understanding of Office of Secretary of Defense Policy
Knowledge of the US acquisition process for Foreign Military Sale and/or Domestic Commercial Sale
Experience with the Capture/IPDS process, management and oversight of NBI resources
Experience leading teams
Active Secret Security Clearance
Ability to travel 50-60%
University degree in Engineering, Science or Technical
Leadership experience leading and driving capture teams in matrix organizations
Experience and intimate understanding of ITAR/EAR and EXIM policies and procedures
Ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to senior leadership
Knowledge/experience with sensors, Command and Control (C2) and missile defense
Ability to communicate directly and effectively with key decision makers, both domestically and internationally
Previous business development or related experience in the defense industry
Understanding of and ability to apply best practices in strategy development, financial management, sales and marketing
Ability to perform financial analyses and forecasting
Understanding and experience in Microsoft Office tools
Executive business acumen with excellent written and verbal communications
