Job Description

The Facility Service Department's (FSD) engineering group is a full-service Architect/MEP engineering team, knowledgeable in the latest regulatory requirements and building codes. We provide engineering assessments, designs, construction drawings/bid documents and construction administration for a wide variety of projects from small renovations to complete laboratories.

Our Senior CAD/BIM Specialist will report to the Director of Engineering and will support the Facilities Engineering team in multiple areas related to AutoCAD/REVIT, FM systems, and network related support.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of Department AutoCAD/REVIT standards including updating and ensuring compliance by design team. Provide training of new staff on LL AutoCAD/REVIT standards

  • Creation and maintenance of AutoCAD/REVIT project templates, profiles, layering, families, plot setups, etc. and supporting software troubleshooting with staff (user setups, plot issues, etc.)

  • Support design team with project setups, title sheets, coordination of drawing sets for milestones, and publishing drawing sets.

  • Update and maintain Facility Architectural floor plans (as-builts), and room/space data. Publish and manage architectural system drawings and interface to FM systems and other internal users of facility floor plans (PDF).

  • Manage network project folders, and user access.

  • Manage rollout of design software (AutoCAD/REVIT, Bluebeam) updates/upgrades to staff

  • Manage printers/plotters including maintenance and supply ordering

  • Oversee Engineering team as-built/system drawing library

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or similar certification in Computer Aided Drafting (AutoCAD/REVIT) required

  • IT/Networking certification or experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 industry related experience in AutoCAD/REVIT BIM use/management

  • Advanced level knowledge of National CAD Standards, REVIT standards (families, etc.)

  • Skills in Bluebeam, MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.

  • Knowledge of FM Systems standards desirable.

  • Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance required.
