Job Description

To develop math data designs for parts, which Sika will supply to its customers.

  • To operate and effectively execute design tasks from design requests within dates requested

  • Conduct design reviews to ensure the "best" design is executed

  • Strictly adhere to the use of the design input/output sheet

  • Maintain workstation, including latest version of design language

  • Make recommendations for any new software add-ons that would improve the quality and quantity of work

  • Record all necessary information regarding filing, tracking, and archiving procedures

  • Back up data as required by procedures

  • Serve as launch team member as required by program management

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor

  • Record and store all data transfers

  • Ensure data transfers with customers and vendors are timely, utilizing state of the art communication media

  • Ensure customer "comment" pages are filled out properly and not rejected by the customer

  • Ensure customer changes are transmitted to engineering highlighting the changed area on comment sheet

  • Prepare and handle different data and file types, e.g. IGES, STL, DXF, TIFF, JPEG, and TAR files

  • Prepare math data for the customer in their specific standards for electronic release

  • Handle data transfers to/from customers, vendors, and our internal network

  • Utilize customer's mailbox and maintain data transfer records

  • Maintain workstation, file management and data back-up systems

  • Keep record of all design input/output sheets, drawing request and approvals, design reviews and supply expenditures

  • Build a good relationship with business partners to ensure prompt response in system issues and the latest technology news

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years work experience in Unigraphics NX.

  • Moderate knowledge of and experience with drafting, GD&T and detailing required.

  • Bachelor's degree a plus; some college coursework required.

  • Unigraphics NX experience in Mechanical Freeform Modeling, Sketcher and Drafting.

  • Knowledgeable in tooling and plastics.

  • Experience in Stellantis's TeamCenter a plus.

  • Must possess good communication skills; good analytical and quantitative skills.
