About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C++ Engineer to play a pivotal role in our mission. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in C++ development, with a strong track record of working with modern C++ libraries.

An understanding of image processing is ideal, and previous experience in healthcare and digital pathology will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-performance image processing solutions.

• Utilize modern C++ libraries to develop scalable and efficient software applications within our C++ 17 codebase.

• Lead architecture discussions and contribute to the design of distributed systems.

• Provide technical leadership within a scrum-team environment.

• Optimize code for speed, memory usage, and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.

• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in C++ and image processing technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional C++ development experience.

• Proficiency in modern C++ standards and libraries.

• Experience with boost, openslide and vips are highly desirable.

• Strong background in image processing techniques and algorithms is desirable.

• Experience with healthcare and digital pathology is a significant bonus.

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members.

• Agile/Scrum methodology experience is a plus.
