Job Summary:
Support New Product Development (NPD) with supplier selection and development. Properly manage suppliers on boarding to ensure quality and cost savings as well as include rationalization of the supply base and establishment of goals for cost, quality, delivery, and inventory. This position has a major impact on the company's ability to successfully launch new products on time and within budget, as well as meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Customer satisfaction, ability to secure future programs, and overall reputation is greatly affected by their performance.
What you will do:
Implement FPQP (First Part Qualification) process to drive 90% First Pass Yield on First Articles (FAI)
Responsible for supplier selection on new product and supplier performance management
Manage Tollgate workbook and Wrike schedule for all supply Chain functions
Manage all quoting activities and conduct bidding events where appropriate
Identify, lead, and implement NPD sourcing process improvements both internally and at suppliers
Establishes procurement standards and policies for new products, as well as manage key vendor relationships
Liaise with the corporate Regal Rexnord strategic sourcing group for supplier selection for components
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for supplier base for prototypes and process development
Contract management and supplier performance reviews for new vendors and vendors key to new product launches
What you will need:
College degree plus five [5] years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management with emphasis in procurement/purchasing
Demonstrated experience negotiating with and developing suppliers
High sense of urgency, highly driven to win and break through barriers
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and application to Supply Chain Management
Excellent Project Management Skills
Strong with Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint
Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Willingness to travel to other sites to support NPD launches
Fluent in English - Good verbal and written communications skills
