Effectively understands customer shopping behaviors, preferences, and trends
Leads and models an enthusiastic and courageous approach to problem solving
Works on new product ideas
Creates strategies to differentiate H-E-B from competition and improve customer loyalty including new ideas & products
Effective in managing cost components on key items
Proactively studies their business
Builds collaborative relationships with suppliers
Creates tailored assortment and merchandising plans for execution
Leads cross-functional teams across Pricing, Retailing Services, Supply Chain, Own Brand, Sourcing, Shelf Edge, Product Information, and other related areas.
Develops pricing and promotion strategies Participates in corporate promotions
Oversees and works collaboratively with Supply Chain Partners on the execution of all aspects of supply chain
Communicates effectively with all other functional departments (CoEs)
Works within work processes and influences improvements
Understands complexities of all aspects of product/commodity ('Seed to Stomach' in applicable categories)
Adapts to change and exudes a positive attitude with a willingness to take on new opportunities.
Clearly behaves in ways that reflect a Leader worth following
Ensuring products are available at the right time in the right assortment and quantities Education and Experience preferred
