We are seeing motivated candidates to join our IT Enterprise Business Systems Team as Senior Business System Analyst. The role of Business Systems Analyst is an important function within the Epizyme's Information Technology Department, with the responsibility to ensure the technical and business solution needs are met for our Quality, Clinical and Regulatory departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute process redesign and solution implementation of IT GxP projects

  • Provide system support for Veeva Vault QualityDocs, RIM, eTMF and PromoMats; in addition to related third-party applications

  • Provide system support for LMS ComplianceWire and Docebo

  • Facilitate requirements gathering, solutions design, and documentation

  • Prepare project plans and status reports, while providing track progress on the projects

  • Provide cross-functional support with day to day issues

  • Manage request intake and drive prioritization with business partners

  • Ensure compliance to change control and SDLC procedures

  • Coordinate and manage application support with vendors and external consultants

  • Facilitate cross functional/interdepartmental Implementations

  • Help design and implement best practices for IT

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 2-3+ years working in a Life Sciences company/organization, supporting GxP systems with direct validation experience

  • Experience working with and supporting Veeva Vault solutions QualityDocs, RIM, Clinical eTMF and PromoMats

  • Experience working with and supporting Sparta Systems Trackwise Digital

  • Experience supporting Learning Management Systems

  • General knowledge of portfolio/project management methodologies

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work as an individual contributor and as a member of a team

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, is a plus

This position will provide overall leadership and regulatory direction on projects by working with internal program teams to develop regulatory strategy and development plans and will interface with external consultants and regulatory agencies in developing regulatory submissions. Individual will also maintain awareness of global regulatory environment for cell therapies including accelerated review programs and assess and communicate impact of changes in regulatory policies on business and product development programs.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead program teams in preparing regulatory submissions including briefing documents, IND/CTA filings, and marketing applications. Oversee preparation of responses to all regulatory authority queries.</li> <li>Through cutting-edge science, design and implement creative regulatory strategy for the global development for novel cell therapy programs</li> <li>Seek opportunities to expedite development through innovative pathways (e.g., Breakthrough, RMA, PRIME designation)</li> <li>Establish regulatory direction for programs including non-clinical study plans, regulatory requirements for clinical studies and marketing approval in domestic and international markets, and regulatory strategic development plans.</li> <li>Act as the primary interface with global regulatory authorities as needed for all aspects pertaining to drug development including resolution of key regulatory issues and expediting approvals of product.</li> <li>Maintain detailed knowledge of global regulatory environment relevant for cell therapies and regenerative medicine including accelerated review programs. Assess the impact of changes on business and product development programs and communicate to the BlueRock development teams and management.</li> <li>Represent the Regulatory Affairs Department as a member of cross-functional project teams and provide guidance relating to changing global regulatory requirements.</li> <li>Proactively manage critical regulatory issues and work with team members to resolve issues related to non-clinical studies, clinical development, and CMC.</li> <li>Interface with external consultants, clinicians, CROs etc. to provide regulatory guidance related to clinical operations and clinical development plans.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS degree in a biological science or related field is required; MS/PhD preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry including 5 years of leadership experience within the Regulatory Affairs function.</li> <li>Experience in cell and gene therapy strongly preferred</li> <li>Minimum of 4 years of direct experience interfacing with regulatory authorities</li> <li>International regulatory experience strongly desired<br> Extensive experience in preparing regulatory filings including IND/CTA, NDA/BLA/MAA, lifecycle management, interactions with health authorities, leading and managing regulatory teams</li> <li>Experience and knowledge in the preparation of electronic submissions following eCTD format</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of US and international regulations and ICH guidelines related to biologics and cell therapy development</li> <li>Experience in development, manufacturing and testing of cell therapeutics is highly desirable.</li> <li>Experience in regulatory filing for medical devices or combination products, such as cell therapy and delivery device, is highly desirable.</li> <li>Experience in leading the development and implementation of complex regulatory strategies with a proven track record of significant regulatory accomplishments.</li> <li>Experience in developing briefing documents and interfacing with regulatory agencies to address matters regarding non-clinical testing plans, clinical study designs, and CMC strategy.</li> <li>Ability to understand technical aspects of manufacturing and quality control assays and describe them in regulatory submissions and understand impacts on regulation</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various technical area experts including process development, manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, non-clinical development, clinical development, and clinical operations.</li> <li>Excellent written and communication skills with attention to detail.
